Super nice job. I love Milky Way photography.

Nice capture. What settings and which processing did you use?

I take 3 or 4 ARW shots of each subject, manual focus, from a tripod, using 4 different f-stops, and 4 different shutter speeds. Combine in Elements or (my favorite) Photomatix.
that's great for HDR but I don't think it's the same for focus stacking. Thanks

Focus Bracketing with Sony Alpha 7 III camera

Cheers
This is going to be more challenging than I anticipated. I was hoping for advice on camera settings. I have done Milky Way photography with success using multiple exposures and stacking software. I use ACR for most editing. Will check out focus bracketing. Thanks for the articles.

What is the easiest way to do focus stacking with Sony A7iii? I am going to Yellowstone next week and hopefully will do a lot of landscape photography. Do I have to use manual focus? Can I use "Flexible spot:L" with autofocus? One YouTube video suggested Manual focus and use peaking to move from foreground to background. Also, f stop advice is from 5.6 to f8. I will be using Tamron 28-200 lens. I was not going to pack my wide angle due to weight.
Thanks for all the advice.

I have been using Bay Photo to print wildlife calendars but it’s the second time I have had mishaps with my order. Instead of getting 50 calendars, I got someone’s wedding album. The calendars are on heavy stock, spiral binding and printed with 6 colors. If anybody can make a recommendation, I would appreciate it. On a side note, someone received my calendars but Bay Photo doesn’t know who got them. Thanks, Fran

I have used Picaboo for several years for calendars. Very consistent and good results!

In Bridge:
"To clear Camera Raw adjustments from your photo, go to Adobe Bridge, Control-click on the photo's thumbnail and choose Clear Settings, under Develop Settings."

In ACR:
"If you want to remove edits, and return the image to the original unedited version, Control-click on the thumbnail and choose Clear Camera Raw Settings."

(works for those with PS Elements' version of ACR also)

Thanks. It worked.

I always shoot in raw and am unfamiliar with those terms. If I want to save a file as jpg I will save ad srgb.....etc

I use bridge, ACR and PS. I have discovered that when I edit a pic in ACR, not saving it as psd, tiff or jpg, and even if I hit cancel, the raw image shows the edit. See screenshot. I want to change it back to show original data. I am doing a workshop and have to present a before and after rendition of a pic. I have noticed this repeatedly and cannot find the remedy so far online. I hope you all can help. I use MacBook Pro.

I upgraded from 13.5 Ventura to 13.6 for photography reasons. Was told to wait for jump to Sonoma? There are still bugs here. No need to take that leap.
