You've probably been listening too closely to the wrong people ... Your D500 could easily be the last camera you need this lifetime, certainly it's barely used at 10,000 clicks. But, we all know the grass is always greener when captured with a mirrorless camera.

Consider your current Nikon lenses and whether you want to dump them all or retain DX lenses on a cropped Z50 or FX lenses on the various Nikon FF mirrorless options. After a lifeline of Nikon, the reasons to change to another brand are not compelling, unless again, you've been listening too closely to the wrong people.

Hey folks, thank for your quick responses, my main thoughts were I’ve got too many cameras now and I can’t get comfortable with using any one if I switch around daily or weekly, so my thought was get rid of all of them but get a really nice Nikon and keep all the lens, straps, etc and study on using that one and try really hard to get comfortable with it, but after listening to you guys I might just keep one of the Nikon’s and sell everything else, thanks again.

Yup. Spend some time on composition. Drive around and use your mind’s eye. You know the drill. . . Simplicity and light.

Hope this is as a straight foward question as I would like it to be. For owners of the D 850 after using the D 850 would you buy again after your experience with it?

Very straight forward.

Very natural. And great lines created by the pose and the body contrasting against the background.

Rent the Fuji. Rent the Nikon.
Compare pics with your Sony.
If you see profound differences let us know.

Otherwise, take a photo class and more photos.

IMHO, do you like your current images your getting with the D750 ?, if yes, then my answer is NO, you do not need the upgrade, if your not getting decent images with your D750, then I suggest you take some photo classes because the D750 is capable of producing outstanding images.
Good luck and keep on shooting until the end.

I think this response is spot on. Pila

Hello Hoggers

I’m new to digital photography. Is sharpening recommended for images shot in RAW format? Is there any reason to shoot in RAW and JPEG?

Thanks
