Thank you. This is a company trip so I'm mostly at the mercy of our planned tours. Will have some late afternoon/evening hours to get out on my own. We have day trips to Cesky Krumlov and Kutna Hora and Sedlec. Will do the typical Prague tours on the other days.

Thank you for the information! I would LOVE to do a photo tour. This is a company trip so I'm not sure how much free time I'm going to have. I'm afraid most of my photos are going to be taken quickly as we are on our scheduled excursions. I'll know more after our pre-trip meeting tomorrow. Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated. Joy

[quote=traderjohn]These are things I do not understand. You have a camera and a variety of lenses. The same lens/lenses you have used in the past will be fine in any city or other environment that you have taken pictures of in the past. There is no special, Prague, Athens, Rome, or any other city lens. It is just another location different name.[/quote

You are correct that I have a variety of lenses. What I do not have is the luxury of taking my arsenal of lenses. I live in Florida and mostly photograph birds in flight and sunrises at the beach. Neither of these scenarios gives me any insight into what I can expect in a European city.

Good Afternoon,
I will be traveling to Prague next month (Oct. 2022). I will take my Nikon Z6ii. Looking for recommendations for the best travel lens (or lenses).
Thank you

It's not that it's out of focus. It's not focusing at all.
frustrating . . .

We all know a picture is worth a thousand words.
Can someone confirm I have copied the update to the firm directory?
If I got that right, why am I not getting an update option when I put the SD card in the camera?

Thank you

It's not autofocusing.
I don't think the firmware update will do the trick but thought I'd give it a shot.

I can’t say I’m 100% certain. I will definitely check on it. Thank you and I’ll let you know.

Feeling like a camera newbie with this new mirrorless camera when I've been taking pictures for over 4 decades.
I have the z6ii with the kit lens 24-70/4s.
Two issues:
1 - the camera won't autofocus. I'm hoping this is user error and I'm missing something that's different from the DSLR.
2 - I thought I'd try doing a firmware update. Nikon website shows C:Ver 1.30 available.
Camera shows. C 1.21.
LF 1.01

The SD card has been formatted with the update on installed on the card. I have a full battery. When I go to the Menu / Firmware Version, under display of the two versions (shown above), it says done. I don't have an option to update.

Can someone explain what this ole gal is doing wrong? Appreciate any help.

Thank you - J

I mostly have zoom lenses from a 11-22 up to 200-500. I have a couple of prime lenses that don't get a lot of use. From what I'm seeing, it looks like it will mostly be landscape type pictures. I didn't know if there are opportunities for birds in flight or wildlife off in the distance that would require the 200-500.

It’s definitely on the list.

Accommodations booked. Car rented.
Next question - what type of lens/lenses will be best? For example, do I need to bring the 200-500?
Since we’re flying, don’t want to haul what I want use.

Don't you have to plan your lodging and dining very carefully due to the crowds? A cooler with provisions might save the day if the crowds are over the top. Also keeping you fuel topped off due to frequent stop & go traffic might be a good idea as well.

I prefer a stocked cooler to enjoy a break and the scenery. Saves some $ also.
