I wish things still came with manuals. My new Ford doesn't have one, and there isn't even one available to purchase - yet. The only option is to look at an html document on line.

If you order your computer from Dell, they will be happy to sell and install a DVD drive. I had that done for my work computer because I have a lot of files on CD and DVD disks.

As for transfer, I have for years used PcMover. It does a great job with files/data and a pretty good job with most software programs.

Your not going to see big game, but my experience on the Amazon out of Manus with a small tour company was fantastic. Included sleeping in hammocks on an open deck of a small boat, swimming in the Amazon, catching a piranha off of a deck on a floating house, canoe trips into jungle areas, etc., etc. I cherish the photos I took years ago. I went toward the end of the tourist season (April-May) so there were less tourists around.

I am a member of Findagrave. I photograph local grave markers. I have found it is fun to get the marker's lines square and correct for color in Photoshop. Trying to correct for weather-caused defects is sometimes a challenge. Using a cell phone adds GPS data for relatives. I thought this might be an interesting way for children to learn photography.

Thanks for your work. Because someone took and posted a photo of a grave marker, I was able to find out that a friend from our days in Vietnam had passed.

I bought the course after I returned from Vietnam with my PX Nikons. It was helpful and the ongoing assignments and critiques made the program more than just reading about photography. However, I never finished it.

Check your ticket documents. You may be required to go to arbitration instead of court.

Although it doesn't answer your main question, here is a Microsoft Word document I prepared, and have posted here a couple of times, which shows the cascaded Photoshop menu structure. I find it helpful in finding features I don't often use.

Thanks for sharing your list. There are things there I didn't know existed. Lee

I have used Laplink several times over the years. It successfully transferred most - but not all - programs. A few have to be reinstalled. Still that is better than having to reinstall everything. If your new computer is going to have a newer version of windows, for example going from Win 7 to 10, it may be less successful.

Thanks. I am thinking about more than that may make practical. I have years of negatives before the world went digital.

I have a Nikon Coolscan IV which I have been using for slides. I would like to scan negatives, but don't have a negative holder. I checked on Ebay, and there were a couple between $100 and $200 being sold from Russia and Ukraine. Does anyone have one they would like to sell, or do you know of a substitute?
