thanks the side shot doesnt show you what size mirror or focal length or anything. the ring holding the glass in front has white lettering around the edge that states the mirror size and focal length of the scope....

the pic you sent me was out of focus and the same pic shown here, both are useless . take a pic of the scopes front glass and post that. so I can see if the scope is worth anything

all of the mentioned brands are trustworthy. but watch out for the knock off cards from ebay especially. I only trust San disk and kingston. but sandisk is the only company I know of that warrenties their cards for life against corruption. and water damage. if You spent enough for a 7D then get as best a card that you can afford. the expensive camera is uiselless if the card KONKS out in the middle of a wedding or birthday party, or worse

where do you live? UPS is the best place to ship anything, they'll pack itr for you give you a decent price and it usually ships the same day right on a truck out the back door, thr Jmi case is shipable too jjust put a label on it. no box needed , heck they are virtualy indestructable.

why not upgrade you current pc? just replace the motherboard and get a kickass video card?? I just got a 8core cpu & motherboard for under $700 and installed it in my tower myself. its 16ghz 32gb ram the graphics card will be next month since it costs almost $400 for a really good one. but now I can add extra burners and hard drives and its balzingly fast. a prebuilt tower with that much speed would cost $1500+ by just getting the guts I saved half easily. I also got two extra hard drives for $100 each at 2tb each they'll be able to save pics and video for a lifetime of memories. as for laptops . i dont use them for processing pics and video.

best of luck, I brought two dslrs with me for my daughters wedding. ones with the 20mm f2.8 for quick shots and wides. and a 70-200 f2.8 on the bid dslr . . took videos and pics. takes tons of pics. its the "second" best day of your life . watching your kids grow up is even better than being the pic taker. if your like me you'll take at least 1200 shots . remember to take a cleaning kit and a box of Kleenex...

piggy back would be my first guess. BTW whenever you get sick of playing with that thing. I might be interested in it for a travel scope as my 10"sct is too big and has too many add ons for takedown and reassembly

OK good luck,,, like I said its your best bet just getting that $99 one. as any camera style tripod would be way over loaded , and video ones are way too expensive.

still $100 is cheap if you really want to use that scope, this is probably the cheapest you can get if you dont want to risk breaking that thing.. it even has alt motion knobs for tracking stuff. u hafta remember when looking thru high power eps the targets move really fast across the FOV

well your outta luck then, you'll most definately have to modify the dovetail for mounting aon a camera tripod, or just sell it to someone whos willing to put it on a decent mount... astronomy gear isnt cheap and I doubt you'll find even a used mount for under $100 if you do it'll be junk and wobbly as heck/ you can use any dovetail or shoe you want on that scope as they arent mounted directly to the scope itself. personaly Id put it at LEAST on a panhead tripod, then again tey start at $100 and go up. that things just tOO big for a cheap camera tripod. it'll wbble so bad you wont be able to view anything at all let balone it will fall over or break the tripod
