You won't have to go far to find great photo opportunities. I spend most of my time in Northern New Mexico when we travel, but I have heard the Cloudcroft area is a must see. Also, there is a great Pistachios farm (Heart of the desert) in Alamogordo, and don't forget about the Green Chiles, they will be in season in just a couple of weeks. Enjoy!
