Soft Orbits Easy Photo Unblur claims using AI to unblur, seems to be very powerful. Any Uggers have any experience in their software? Thanks.

Very good to excellent results. I cannot start processing a photo without going first thru this program. Logically priced. Its GUI is not spectacular but the results are good.
Years ago when I bought it, using their customer service I was dealing with Ucraine speaking stuff. Seems that SoftOrbits is their representative for the sales. No problem with this company.

And not only the vets. Everybody else as well. Unfortunately the planet has been seized by lunetics.

So, the ZS 50 is a 12MP pocket sized camera, at least from the outside, pretty much identical to the candidate models of the post. Why not take a few new pics and post the unedited JPEGs, asking for help that almost surely will save you $500+?

I did not ask to teach me photography. It is my right to buy a camera. I just asked a simple question about 2 specific cameras. If you are not interested or you dont know, you dont answer about other irrelevant things being at the same time rude in earlier posts.

All those prices are about the same. If $$ is really much of an issue then youre best off shopping used. Acoarst, with used you cant fret over the nit picky stuff cuz its a mainly opportunistic marketplace.

What a acoarst is?

Thank you all for your advice and time. Please CLOSE THIS POST and do not give any more answers. It seems that some are agitated by my wants.

Price on the G100 just dropped by $200. If it had been that low way back when, I wouldve bought that over the ZS100 for sure. Now its 500 at BH and prolly elsewhere too. Check it out. I handled one when it introd. Seemed to be made of helium !

You may be right and thank you for you time. But I am looking exclusively for a compact or an almost compact.

We'll do what want.

Advice / feedback to your question was given. You complained about availability and price, and performance of a perfectly good camera you already own. Did you action (even consider) the idea of investigating the JPEG settings? It's only been silence on that idea, now being filled in on other, more interesting discussion.

Its very simple. If you want to engage in other discussions, you get to the proper forum. I have kindly asked you from the beggining. Focus on the subject of the question. I did not even asked for playing with settings. Be considered if you like pls.

Gentlemen, do not get out the subject. We are discussing which of the 2 compacts are preferable. You have space elsewhere to discuss photo techniques. Thank you.

The Lumix has a wider zoom range, 25-250 full-frame equivalent, where the Canon is 24-120. The Canon has a wider max aperture across the entire zoom range, varying f/1.8 to f/2.8. The Lumix is 'slower' with apertures varying from f/2.8-f/5.9. These aperture values help explain some of the price differences in the two cameras. Both are 20MP sensors. The Canon has a more functional EVF and adjustable screen / monitor, again explaining some of the price difference. You likely couldn't go

This is sad but Canon is around $880 and ....1(!!!) remaining in the whole US, compared to Lumix $600. Maybe I should compare it to the Lumix ZS200 and the $700 price??

I forgot to mention that I own the Lumix ZS 50, with which I am not quite satisfied pertaining to image quality. Every photo I take needs a contrast correction and light adding. So I decided to sacrifice the really large zoom 30X and get the zs 100 10X zoom or Canon's 5X, in hope to improve on IQ.

Want to buy one compact camera. I have decided on Canon G5X Mark ii and the Lumix ZS100. Can you suggest (especially those that you are familiar with either) which one do you prefer, based mainly on image quality. I'd like any real important negative ideas, as well. For example, I do not like Canon's high price and the lack of availability.
Thank you guys and stay within the subject, as much as possible.
