I can also remember the gas wars from the early 60's when stations had people standing by signs marking prices down as the guy across the street lowered his price. I can remember it down to 12 - 15 cents a gallon. 5 bucks went a long ways in the 60's!

I used to take a lot of photos while fly fishing, as wife and I had a Flyshop at the time. Fell in the river, killed the camera. Went out and bought a Nikonos - problem solved. Generally - once dunked, they are dead. Sorry for the misfortune.

I got the same flash for Canon as well. Yes the manual sucks. It took me a day and some youtube videos to find out how to get it from manual to auto. Also the firm updates are only for Windows. Nothing compatible with Mac.

Funny, I had another thread going with the same problem. Took me two days to figure out what to do to get the switch from M to A on the TTL Zoom mode. Never found "how to" write anywhere. On the firmware update - Adorama said it was working on one for MAC users, so assuming Godox is doing the same. As I use a MBPr, guess I'll have to borrow my wife's laptop to update my units. I mean - can it be that hard to do the software since it already exists for Windows???

Same here - live close to Crater Lake and I really like the night time shot. Snow lelvel has been real low this year so looks like access is still available to the park, I guess.

So bought the Flashpoint Zoom TTL R2 for Nikon and the new R2 Pro Trigger system. Very nice units. Flash manual instruction could use some help as they do not point out how to achieve certain functions. Spent two days trying to figure out how to get the TTL mode to auto. Should not be that difficult.

Made the decision and bought the new R2 Pro N TTL Transmitter (Flashpoint version of Godox Xpro 2. Like it a whole lot better than the X series and sits out of the way on the camera and is easy to read and can see all the groups at once. Very nice!

Unfortunately, there are jackasses or know it alls on every forum you look at. I get a kick out of the person with 14000 posts compared to the average of several hundred - generally these are the snipes. I just ignore it, or block them, if possible, then move on to seek the answer I am new to this forum and have asked several questions and have found the members to be very friendly and helpful. I hope to be able to return the favor. At the same time - trolls, snipers, and just plain jerks continue to be around and as others said - if unreachable, then they try to play a bit rough sadly. Keep poking at it - good folks here!

Eureka Annie!!!! I stumbled across the way to get this sucker in the auto mode when set to TTL. End of pushing the "mode" button", select "TTL", and the "M"annual icon appears. Push the two buttons next to "RST" on the top row and voila! - it switches over to "A"auto mode and then follows the focal length of the lens being used. Can't believe I spent two days chasing this down and cannot find it written anywhere to do this. So - thanks to all who assisted with ideas. Hopefully, I can return the favor in the future.

Maybe I have a different model. Mine is the Flashpoint Zoom Mini-flash. I also purchased the R2 transmitter. The receiver is contained within the flash. I have three modes: stroboscopic, manual, and TTL.

Here is a link to the manual: https://www.adorama.com/col/productManuals/FPLFSMMINIFU.pdf

Hope that helps...

What I am dealing with is reflected on page 5 of your Fuji manual. Where it says "Zoom Display" and the line goes down to the icon, showing "M" - this supposedly changes to an "A" on mine, although I never saw that in your manual anywhere. Makes life interesting trying to sort these things out. Appreciate your time and help on this.

So, the camera is definitely set to allow TTL flash and the flash is also set that way?

Correct for the camera and the flash is set tp i-TTL, but rather than the "A" showing up it stays in "M". I have been through more forums, brochures and Youtube videos today than I can count trying to sort this out. I can fire the flash fine, dial in all the functions on the flash, change the flash tube zoom - just can't solve the manual icon changing over to automatic. Push comes to shove, guess I can break down and call Adorama and see what settings they may want to step me through in the next few days if I cant solve this through the forum.

Also - at least you have camera shops in Portland to go to for help. Here in central Oregon, there is absolutely nothing.

I got this in combination with the new R2 Pro N trigger, as I am thinking that once I got this system dialed in, then add 1 or 2 more ttl flashes to the bag. Just have to get past this stumbling block first. Really like the build and feel of the unit. I was sort of expecting something "cheaper' made, but am pleasantly surprised.

Thats what I think too, LoneRangeFinder. However, when on camera the flash fires, and you can hear the flash tube changing with the lens zoom, so it does not make sense to me at all. Maybe I am making more of this than I should??
