If you have access to Lynda, through LinkedIn or an organizational web page, there are some good PS lessons, as well as LR and other photography topics. It still is not, for me, as good as hands/on with an expert, but it’s good.

After the surgery many years ago, I was amazed at the colors I had been missing but evidently my camera got it right even when I might not have, because I looked back and saw no difference in my pictures.

Good! Thanks.

Nice shots Skip. I posted several shots of this beautiful mountain earlier in my South America series. It hasn't changed since 2013!

Thanks! It is a beautiful place. Difficult to get a bad shot there!

We’ve used Abercrombie & Kent and Micato. Pricey but great. Good luck!

Having seen several references to Lightroom’s new Enhance feature, and having used it myself, I’m wondering if there is any common wisdom about whether to use Enhance before cropping, or after. Any thoughts based on your experiences?

Post a series of images of the same bird (or choose your subject) in slightly different positions (just give us your best one, please)

Agreed! One of the most grievous sins in photography is assuming that “I took it, I need to show it.” Less is more.

My D7200, in Manual mode, has started changing the shutter speed setting after I take a photo. For instance, I have it set for 1/60 ISO 1100 and f/2.4. Take the photo and it then shows 1/1000,ISO 1100, f2.4. If I take four in a row, starting at 1/60ss without making any changes myself, the shutter speed changes each time: changed to 1/15, then 1/250, then 1", and finally 4".

This has just started. It was not doing it before today. Is there some setting I have turned on or off without my knowing it or what it would do? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Hogs.

I recently had the same issue and learned I had inadvertently pressed the “BKT” button while trying to press the “Flash” button, just above it. Since I was trying to adjust flash compensation, rotating the Command wheel while pressing BKT led to some very unexpected results! 🙄

Good point: Pro Show is not good for presentations but is excellent for continuous shows.
