I like them both, but if have to choose I am going B&W
My wife used a Nikon 18-105mm on her D3200 and loved it. Used it for nearly everything and rarely changed lens, when she upgraded to a D5500 she stills uses the 18-105mm as her primary lens. Not too big or heavy reasonable zoom range, much better than the “kit 18-55”. And I am sure you can get one for a very reasonable price.
Thanks to all, for the many options.
Was also very interesting hearing all the opinions about renting or not renting.
And yes in the end, I will have to try several to find what suits me.
Also just to note - I have used LR6 and LR4 for several years, and found them reasonable software. I am really wondering if it is time for a change, so needed some options and now I have to do some work.
Again Thanks for all the information!
So, let's have it, what would you recommend that is not subscription based - so no LR, PS, CC for example.
Just a bit of detail -- I shoot mostly raw (Nikon DLSR both DX and FX). I also shoot IR, so support for those kinds of editing would be useful as well.
Thanks for the recommendations!
I have the Nikon 12-24 and use it on a Nikon D7100 I have not been disappointed with, do not believe you would be ether.
