Do you?
I see images in the clouds and the trees, are they really there or is it only me.
Is it my artistic vision or just signs of miss-spent youth
These questions come to mind because of a series of photo's from Thanksgiving. Living in Southern Cal. it is very seldom that is is cold enough to have a fire in the fireplace, Thanksgiving eve was one such. The Devil is in the detail so they say, so I ask again do you see him? Lounging in the bottom left, being waited on by a rabbit and watching the dancers in the center. Its OK ignore me, my wife does, I must be crazy.

This photo is SOOC, opened in Bridge and saved as a jpeg with the help of ACR.

And in the upper right, there’s a small rabbit sitting on the head of a resting cat. Snuggled into the belly of the cat is another creature with fuzzy ears. The cat’s bushy tail is visible in the far right.

1399 Westford Massachusetts Site

You might be interested in the legend of the Westford Knight which states that Prince Henry Sinclair, a Scot whose mother was Norse visited us in 1399. Just google "Westford Knight" for the stories and many pix of carved stones.

Following is an excerpt from a brochure available in the Westford MA library

"A long standing tradition of Clans Gunn and Sinclair is that under the leadership of Prince Henry Sinclair, their ancestors visited America nearly a century before Columbus’ voyage of discovery. It is believed that members of the Sinclair expedition reached the shores of Massachusetts in about 1399, and traveling inland, the party climbed to the top of what is today called Prospect Hill in order to better survey the surroundings and establish their orientation."

Life was tough back then.

Yes, things were tough back then, but we had our simple pleasures, too, uncluttered by current technology to be in touch with the world every minute. The stove, like the one from my childhood, has the woodbox in the left chamber, the oven in the middle, and the water reservoir on the right. It also was hooked up with circulating pipes to the lead water tank in the bathroom above (no we were not allowed to drink that water). My dad got up in the wee hours (even in the summer) to start the fire, make the coffee, and warm the water for the day. My two siblings sat on the side of the table with their backs to the fire. I sat on the far side, as far away from the heat as possible. Many fond memories of those days, including the dog under the table who was always willing to take a few scraps when Mom and Dad were not looking!

Thanks for sharing, Lamia!

And after all, it was taken from a moving boat! As I said, just a thought. Being among the forever amateurs, I'm reluctant to make suggestions. Hope to see more moon shots from you

Awesome shot Cyn! I love evening sky/moon pix, and this is exceptional. Would you consider straightening it a bit, to make the right side window vertical? Just a thought

I see two ads for related products at the top of page one and another at the bottom -- not sure if we all see the same ads

I used the warp tool on the original crane photo and added the crane to the center some years ago. I don't even know where the original is. I had cs2 for a while.

Does the fact that this guy will be published in a week or so for the photograph issue of a well known Montana nature magazine give me some bragging rights? After being notified of the selection I walked on a cloud . Been trying for the last 5 years to make this issue. Whoopeeee!!!

Yes, Robin, you earned bragging rights and a long walk on the cloud -- magnificent capture of a magnificent animal!

One more quick change.... The horizon divides this photo in half. An old, tried and true rule of photography is to either pull the horizon up to the 1/3 line at top or drop it to the lower 1/3 line. I've made a quick adjustment to the horizon. Thanks for taking us on your vacation! Gorgeous!
