You are presented with three doors. Behind one door is a car the other two doors lead to empty rooms. If you choose the right door you win the car. You choose a door, then Monty opens another door, and the room is empty. Now, you get to keep your original door or switch to the other door you did not choose originally.

What are the odds you will choose the door with the car: if you stand pat or if you switch.

Hints: Monty does NOT choose a door at random. The correct answer is not 50-50.
You are presented with three doors. Behind one do... (show quote)

This is a classic. When you first choose, you have a one third chance of getting the car, and a 2/3 chance of the car being behind a door that you did not choose. Monty knows where the car is, to continue the game he will reveal what is behind the door without the car. This does not change the original probability, the probability that the car is behind your door is still 1/3, and the probability that the car is not behind the door that you choose is 2/3. However, you know that the car is not behind the door that Monty opened so the probability that the car is behind the remain door is 2/3.

I think it is good. I would crop it a little more which would make the green less distracting.

Thanks. Cropping has always worried me about losing detail. I'll give it a try

It is not at all distracting. The bird is sharp and stands out. I think it's an excellent capture.

Yes, but I think it still works. You can photoshop out that big grey stick that intersects with the beak. That part is distracting. If you don't have PS, you can do exactly the same thing with Gimp, which is very powerful and free. Lots of instructions on YouTube. If you want to try to remove the stick, look up videos on how to use the cloning brush and healing brush. Its really easy.

Thanks for your comments. I have Lightroom and Affinity. I have never been very successful removing objects with either one. The end result has never turned out. I'll give it a try.

It an darn good photo! Now if you have a second opportunity, you might drop back to the smallest f-stop your lens has. But, you got a great shot, sharp as all get out, you did well.

Thanks for your comments. By smallest f-stop, I assume that you mean wide open, f-5.6.

I like the image, but I tried two things with a (since destroyed) copy in PS. First, I cropped a little from the left and bottom to get the thirds intersection on the eye. Second, I darkened the yellows about 15%. For me, the distractions you referred to declined markedly.

Thanks for your comments. I didn't think of darkening the yellows.
