If you don't have PS, you can do exactly the same thing with Gimp, which is very powerful and free. Lots of instructions on YouTube. If you want to try to remove the stick, look up videos on how to use the cloning brush and healing brush. Its really easy.
Thanks for your comments. I have Lightroom and Affinity. I have never been very successful removing objects with either one. The end result has never turned out. I'll give it a try.
