Hi I stopped using a flash on my dive camera due to back scatter caused by plankton in the water it shows up as bright spots in your pics now since you are talking about snorkeling you don't need a hi end camera one of the cheep water proof to about 15 ft will work fine if you go to 100 ft now you will need something better sealed I built some waterproof housing for video out of PVC pipe but you need to know I am a master carpenter and cabinet maker as well as a scuba dive and hold a master diver certificate they worked fine but video is better than still photography due to the back scatter doesn't show up in video. I have removed a few stuck filters in my time I use a hose clamp it is put around the filter not the lens and since it grips all around the filter the grip is universal and then I tap the part of the clamp with a light hammer toward the direction that removes the filter it has all ways worked and not hurt anything . Hi I got a canon 5d about 1 month ago it takes fine pictures but the viewfinder seams not as bright as some of my other canon cameras it this normal since this is the first time I got a full frame camera I have tried different lenses and different batteries it must be the camera the pictures come out fine it's just something about the viewfinder . has any of you had a 5d and experienced the same thing ? I have removed many stuck filters I use a hose clamp the thread type just put the clamp on only the filter putting the part of the clamp that your screwdriver fits in to the right end of the filter (clamp ) then lightly tap the head of ( screw end ) with a light hammer and it will loosen and do no damage. Hi if the seller ships priority one it arrives in 2 to 3 days what the problem is most of the time the seller doesn't get the package to the post office the same day the sale is made , I have been selling on ebay and amazon for years and do not wait for the post man to take the package off my porch that takes a extra day the package has to get to the post office when the post man gets done with work ( I live in st pete fl and if I take the package to the post office and track it after supper it usually is in Tampa's airport.Also I did work for UPS back in the 1960's and when stuff was unloaded the truck bring in the packages looked as if it was loaded with a back ho and when I had a package to go to Hawaii the cost compared to USPS was almost double I ship USPS Priority one the package is in transit a shorter time so it is less likely to be damaged, Howie1a

It's fun to watch how Squirrel 's figure how to beat a bird feeder we had a plastic funnel on the pole and the Squirrel 's ate a slot through it then I went to a metal one and the Squirrel 's leaped from a kids house roof to the feeder we moved the play house a little way each day to see how far the Squirrel would jump he won out what happened was he reached a point he couldn't jump that far and found a different place to jump from our back fence, very determined Howie
