I have a Retina 1a that my Dad bought in Germany in 1952. I used it in my college photography class in 1971. It is a great camera. It sat on the shelf for over 40 years and was frozen. I found a guy in New Zealand who is an expert. Sent it over (nervously) and got it back looking clean and prettier than ever. Works beautifully. Just my two cents worth.
Almost every small town in the South had a Western Auto. My great-aunt and uncle managed one.
Nice. Is access restricted on the base?
A huge part of my musical education.
Very moving book and your photos are beautiful. A nice link.
Thanks everyone for a lot of good possibilities to investigate. I trust UHH’ers to know.
Can I get some recommendations for a pocket-sized point and shoot for my husband? He is not interested in a DSLR but he has a very good eye and needs a decent camera. He is using an old Nikon Coolpix that is wearing out. Thanks.
That is very beautiful. I have a ‘53 Airstream Clipper that people keep trying to buy. Not interested. That was a good year!
Very nice. There is a lot of soul in those eyes.
That was made from Japanese honeysuckle? I have seen it wound around fences or branches but had no idea it could be shaped and polished up so nice.
Great photo. I read that the tower exerts the same amount of pressure on the ground as a person sitting in a chair. Some engineering!
