Spot-on macros. I particularly like number 3.

You don't say how much time you will have or how far you are willing to drive. As mentioned above and elsewhere, Dry Falls, Palouse Falls and the Palouse region itself require a good bit of driving from Spokane. And they're not all in the same direction. In mid-July the wheat fields in the Palouse should have turned golden brown and harvest may well be underway. It will very likely be hot and dusty making mid-day difficult for decent photos. I took the photos in the following link near sunset from Steptoe Butte at the end of May last year. https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-775743-1.html

I don't think there is any way you can possibly avoid them in today's world.

You posted this image in the "Photo Analysis" section. Normally the OP in this section wants some suggestions or thoughts on how the image might be improved. Are you asking for that or did you intend for this shot to be in the "Photo Gallery" section?

I tend to like industrial images and the first one with the belching smokestack and interesting sky is a real winner.

Really nice images. It takes patience and a good deal of skill to get shots like these.

Well, wherever the "merge point" is located there will always be a problem.
Close, far, in-between.
There always is a "merge point", that's where the 2nd lane goes away...

Not really what happens at all. Without a designated merge point it is a free for all. At the designated merge point people tend act rationally and take turns. At least that's what happens in my experience.

As a former transportation planner I have always thought in this type situation there should be a designated merge point. The greatest traffic flow efficiency would be realized if all the available pavement was utilized right up to the designated point of merge.

Good timing to get this beauty showing off. Clean and crisp with a nice neutral background.

It was mid-day on New Year's Eve in Seattle in 2017. My girlfriend and I decided to go for a walk downtown. It was a truly glorious winter day with mild temperatures and lots of sun. New skyscrapers constructed for the Amazon Company had recently been opened and the sun was hitting these buildings in such a way that they practically glowed. These are a few of my shots of those new buildings on what was a very special afternoon on the last day of 2017. The only alterations I have made to these images other than standard RAW processing is to flip the shots either 90 or 180 degrees. I would be interested in your thoughts regarding these images.

Super work Veronica. The lighted orbs look to me like they are floating above with the rest of the image under water. Could they be donuts? I don't think so. They have no holes. But I really like this image.

I honestly don't know if my cameras have that capability Linda but I think it created an interesting effect. Number three would also be my pick for a favorite.

Great opportunity and results. I've always wanted to do that but the opportunity eludes me.
