Ive been a UHH member for a good while but this is my first post. I took a photo in landscape mode and now need it to be portrait style. I took the photo too near the subject qaand when I tried to make it a portrait size in lightroom it cuts too close to the sides. The photo was taken with a black background on my D750 with the 24-70 2.8 lens. Is there a way in Photoshop to extract the image and place it on another larger black background to allow more room for cropping to a portrait size. If so, what do I need to do. I am not very proficient in photoshop. Should I post the photo for you to see? Any help would be appreciated.
