I have one. It’s real and it’s well made. It has sixteen lenses and for the most part takes iPhone six quality pictures in auto mode. Auto mode uses what I would call ISO Mode control. That is the majority of pictures are shot at slow shutter and big apiture while using ISO to get exposure. Basicly smart phone small lens sop. Using Auto is convenient but does not produce reliably good images just giant files. The soft ware is way behind the camera and may someday fix this.
Using Manual Mode with under 200 ISO goes a long way towards improving image quality. I have been able to get a few images that rival my Sony ARII with 40mp but it takes an effort to do so.
Although the cameras abilities have been a little oversold I would have to say the concept is sound. You can actually nurse very good images out of it if you have the patience and limit your subjects to those things that don’t move very much.
It’s software is in Beta and will likely by there for ever. If they ever get that close to what it needs to be this thing could be the game changer.

Hi Jorge.
I’ll be home between 1 and three. Then after 6 or 7. Can you bring the metric change Assy. I’d like to compare it to the one I made.

Regarding comparison between brands. lm not a very good photographer but I could tell the difference in color, image quality and focus sharpness of my own pictures almost immediately. That's why I use the Sony camera with the Canon lenses. I know most photographers are way better than i am. But with the Sony I'm better than I was.

I'm a long time Canon user. I also sold off my Canon bodies and now use a 7Rll with a metabones adapter and all my Canon lenses. No regrets.

I have been using a RX100M5 exclusively for two months now. I did that to force myself to get to know it and try to use a small camera to see how good one could be. At this time I would say I don't have a good conclusion to its merits. All things aside, for me a camera is just a tool. If I can make it take well focused and properly exposed pictures most of the time, I'm pretty happy. My big problem with this little guy is focus. Yes it's fast but mostly indiscriminate. Especially in the Auto Modes where it does not perform as well as I would like. So if there is anything close to your subjects face you may or may not get a good focus. My worst focus seems to be in the Aperture Mode where it takes longer to focus and seldom gets it right. Seems like it was made to be a point and shoot primarily using Auto or SCN wherein the pictures are generally better focused but seldom perfect. Although it has a big ISO range, the best pictures are usually under 400 ISO and well lit. I'm getting worried that after two months I haven't found the right settings that work for me.

Thank you for that idea. I loaded the crop version which several UHH members suggested and preferred. We shall see!

It's such a great picture I'm sure it will get a good review there. Good luck.

Taking lots of pictures is not "practice" - taking lots of pictures may simply mean using burst mode or doing the same {bad things} over and over again. "Practice" requires taking time off to examine the pictures one has taken, determining what worked and what should be avoided in the future, and then applying this learning the next time one takes pictures.

Well first of all you are absolutely right. And thank you for your very good definition of the word "practice". Considering over a billion pictures are taken with cell phones every day and however many millions shot on dslrs as well one would think some of those images might be practice shots. And further, some of those practice shots may lead to at least a small number of better pictures.
Thanks
