u guys & gals lost me couple pages ago.I didnt know I had any ability till I picked up a minolta xgm. Photography to me means having a vivid imagination.These days if I get bored outdoors I use that imagination and get creative.I only shoot out in the woods. some of the best advice ever to enter my brain was an article from a teacher that took students out to a 20' square and had them take pictures.Give me some space out there and I'll find something to shoot- even if I have to create it.Can I move this here and add that and have a nice shot? On the other hand I have never edited a photo so do I have more artistic ability or technical?

I got the 80D last yr. from Adorama as an "open box" for $829 Never had a problem with it.

I have been toying with the idea of going ff.tink I will stay with my 80d for I while longer

Dig.vs film.Yes sometimes I will spray &pray as conditions or subject dictate.1 thing that helps avoid this is tuning the brightness of my 3 inch display which I think sometimes we forget.Another advantage with digital is we can use dhr.I also remember that what I see see on my display sometimes looks A lot different than on my laptop.

Great shot. We have greens around here too and am always surprised by how tolerant they are of me in my kayak.

Been reading thread on this subject.I am currently out in the woods with 80d.I most always shoot in manual,as I have 70-300 on today.Whatever I point at shutter,aperture do not change.I also have + - 1 ec, so totally up 2 me what expose and aperture I choose to get best exposure.I always look to screen to c how I like it and most times will adjust as needs even if arrow not in Center as ec does not change.Depending what Lens I am using I sometimes use ap priority or shutter priority.Does anyone else do this?Would this solve this gentleman's dilemma?

What type of filter did you use while taking these shots? 2,3, look not polarized,but a very nice osprey.

Why not rent 5d 2c if u like it. If u do,keep 80d for back up.I own an 80d and am happy as a pig in poop with it,and the added expense of lenses could not afford full frame.My backup rebel t6i and still have a 50d.I would never trade or sell my 80d. Think of what u photograph most,and under what weather conditions if outdoors.

When I buy a new or used camera or lens I will usually keep it 4 about 2 yrs.It takes me about 6 months 2 learn how 2 get the most out of what I have. I tend 2 forget some good tips and tricks from the owners Manuel so the condensed version is always with me. I believe a good mindset is to know u got the best u could out of what u got.I still have a 50d just in case 80d craps out As 4 used I like Adorama cause I know it's been inspected by those who know cameras,lenses,etc.I'm not a rich man!

When I shot film yes Make th shot a good one.Once I went digital I wondered why I waited so long! I met a gentleman last week taking pics of rushing water.Turns out he was using an old Minolta xgm. film cam with a 24mm lens.and had no interest in going digital even after he wanted 2 see my 80d!

My best experience has been with hoya whatever lens I have on.Stays clean,minimal dust cling,thin,and on those drizzly days wipes nice and clean.

Have had Lyme.Once u have it you will always test pos.What nearly killed me was the Babesiosis and Erlichiosis at the same time.I use spray on pants sox and skin and boots.This time of yr. I look down at my pants no more than every 100 yards.When I get home everything I wore that day goes into a separate plastic bag for hot wash later,and inspect my bod before shower
