Great captures, out of curiosity. What lens are you using? The pictures are so crisp.
This pic of a poor pelican with a lure hanging from his beak. Suppose he will live the rest of his life with that hanging there. Shot with a Sony DSLR-A100
at 1/500 s, ISO 400, f/5.6 and a Sony AF 75-300mm F4.5-5.6 (D)
Welcome, and great capture.
I want to take a moment and thank you all for your valuable information and giving me many options to better my skills and knowledge. So now I'll go to work on refining my skills. I've have just started experimenting with RAW. My first step will be to shoot in RAW/JPEG.
OK so since I'm not that experienced with processing RAW. Guess I'll have to work on learning Raw editing. meanwhile shoot in JPEG. Thank you for your clarification of my ordeal.
I used Affinity. And basically just converted, without adjustment, I was very pleased with the original Pic.
I shot the clear night sky in RAW. Fantastic pictures I was very pleased with the results. When I converted them to JPEG they just weren’t the same. Lost many of the stars and just didn’t impress me like the RAW. Can someone give me some advice?

It seems that my comment rubbed you the wrong way. I had no intention to upset you. We all care about capabilities and most of us are loyal to a certain brand also.
Thank you all for four advice. She has migrated to a D7200. She is an advanced amateur. I'm sure that she will get much satisfaction from The D7200. Budget had lots to do with the decision. But I'm sure that her new camera is going to give her much satisfaction.
