Hello.

I thought I’d post this here as this involves a curious piece of camera equipment I’m sure you all will find interesting.

A while ago in the late 1980s, there was a television programme called ‘TUGS.’ It has an internet following who are passionately curious about the show’s supposedly turbulent production. It was shot similarly to Thomas the Tank Engine with a great, hanging apparatus. The marvellous cinematography is only available through fuzzy VHS tapes with no higher-quality releases since. If there’s anyone out there who knows of the programme’s or has any material relating to the production, us fans would love to hear about it! Below are some links/

First episode ‘Sunshine.’

Thanks for reading.

Digitizing is an option, but I do not have the money as there are many of them!

I recently came into lots of 16mm silent and sound shorts from the 50s, but have no means of watching them. I took some to my University, however the machines there are very inconvenient.

Is there anyone with a fully working optical/Magnetic sound projector I could use to view some of them on? I'm in Southeast London, so would prefer someone local.

If you wish to help, contact me via email: bwsemerald2000bb@gmail.com

Thank you. No, I have never heard of him, nor know his work. How the hell am I supposed to know anyway?

Here we go again with the obsolete film processing chemicals. I bought an old Kodak 620 camera from an antique show that had an exposed and undeveloped roll of 620 film with the C-22 developing process, which went out the window in the early 70s. Not that this will probably be much help since the only place is up in Birmingham and is too much money, is there anyone who can help me find a good, cheap place to get this long overdue film developed. I prefer if it was inside the UK, as international shipping is not preferred when watching paint dry is an option.

Are you still able to process them?

I bought and made a little home movie with some expired Kodachrome 40. Thing is, it's outdated and nowhere does the developing. Anyone out there who can?

Oh god no, he/she was not experienced in the film field, only selling it, but I will keep it within the UK.

Hi, mate.

It is around 300ft+. It is entirely magnetic, no images, just sound with one line of sprocket holes down the side.

Digitizing would be good, but I prefer to know rather than have, though that is until I find out what it is, then I would want a good copy. It's just more identifying what's on it. It has a label on the canister "to be wiped", so it may be something that should have been erased.

Thanks for the info, I didn't think I'd actually get an answer!

I am in possession of a 16mm magnetic sound film I bought off Ebay. Is there anyone out there who has one of those machines that can play it back? I wish to properly identify the soundtrack on it.
