You have offered or contributed nothing of interest. As far as I can tell, you may be a troll who enjoys condescension, very rude. My neck of the woods sir? I may file a complaint. Now I'm doing exactly what you do, which is something I wished to avoid. What exactly is the point of all this?

I still use filters, especially red and orange for b & w images. As for flashes, never.

Is the mini in the first two images done in a giraffe colour scheme? Quite an attention getter.

Great stuff. This was a great era of interesting and exciting music, and the list of musicians in this genre is too long to list here.

Why don't you guys PM each other instead of wasting space in the thread. Blah blah blah. Please grow up the both of you and try to offer something relevant to the discussion. Jeesh.

Like I said I do use the slide rules. They are slow and not that accurate but I have fun using it. Same with cameras. I don't make a living with cameras. Efficiency isn't important. Work smarter not harder is not important. It's the result that counts not important.

It's going there is more than half the fun.

I used slide rules in college. Still have 3 of them. They are neither slow nor inaccurate if you know what you're doing. This thread seems to have wandered off into the forest of condescension.

Just as a lot of post processing by people NOT such as ourselves makes many images very unrealistic. I am sorry but I cannot abide scenes that could not possibly be seen in nature or otherwise. I am also of the minimal crowd and lean way more toward the SOOC side.

The most absurd post processing often takes place using out of control HDR. If you can't get a realistic scene in one exposure, you simply don't know what you are doing with your capture device... the camera! Particularly the current range of camera's, with highly capable Image Processing chips, and custom settings profiles.

I have to agree with you on HDR images. Frequently it is completely over the top, resulting in a hideous remnant of the original image, and I cannot for the life of me begin to imagine what the photographer had in mind.

I have a couple of these pesky things living in my attic, like a lot of my neighbours this year. We had a colder than usual winter. However I had fun making a one way device that will let them out but not back in. As for the cuteness factor, I don't see them that way anymore.
