Beautiful!
Love that place
In response to the desk top PC comment. My wife and I both have desktops each with two very large monitors. Each is an I7 with 16GB memory and 1 TB of internal disk. I also have about 10 TB of external disk and my wife has 1 TB external. I have about 200K photos and around 1000 hours of music. I use Microsoft Image Composite Editor for all my panorama processing and GNU Image processor for editing. Both are about 100 time faster than Adobe and I have run test to verify that. I spent 30 years with IBM doing system performance on the largest systems in the world. I also have a Lenovo laptop for travel and for use in the house with the TV. Desk tops are a great bargain today.
I have a 55 mm Nikor macro I bought in 1976. Still the sharpest lens I have and yes it works at the full rang of focus. a few inches to infinity.
Others have already said this but if it is a print then use the scan function on a printer. works great. If it is a 35mm slide, I use a Nikon slide copier attachment on a Nikon 7000. Normally I use a 55 mm macro as the lenses. works great but takes more time to set up.
No gone long ago... babies don't fit well in a rag top.
A picture from long ago, Our first car a new 1963 MGB. The picture was taken on Kodachrome ASA 8.
I agree. aperture offers a choice of depth of field and using auto ISO lets you shoot in most conditions.
I did that but was not happy with the results. I used the on camera slide copier attachment and was happy with the results. Much faster than a scanner. If you decided to snap them don't use a screen because it will introduce a certain amount of grain. A smooth white wall or a good piece of form board. slide copier attachment here

I have done this as a test and the results were not too good.
I had some 26000 slides I had taken over a 60 year time frame. some were Kodachrome ASA 8!. I got a slide copying attachment for my Nikon D7000 put it on my old 55 macro and made copies of 16000 of the slides. Most are great . But yes you will see some grain in some of the slides but they still print very well up to about 8x10. I did a few things to automate the process; one do a white balance on the slide copier when you set up the system; 2 use incandescent lights or LEDs and don't worry about a flash. the slide copier attachment I got could take three slides at a time so the process is not too slow. I was doing about 300 slides a day. The irony is that I had a Nikon slide copier attachment but it would not attach to the D7000 or any other digital because of the grip protrusion hence buy a new attachment. I tried to use a slide scanner but they are far too slow and I really don't see they are any better than using the camera. BTW note that both Nikon and Cannon have discontinued their copiers.
Have fun and enjoy the memories... well perhaps not enjoy Viet Nam but the rest. I was on a destroyer in Nam in 1965 and again in 1966.

It is a wonderful place. Tram ride to the top and then a 6-8 mile walk down.
I agree ... I have been using it for several years... great product.
Yes I agree. Lovely place and I am 77 and have made the hike in the last year.
