Thanks for waking up some great memories! Been there , done that with my dearly departed 2nd wife a number of years ago.

Anyone using the 80d? If so, how are you liking it----or not? My T2i bit the dust after it was dropped. Now the shutter won't budge. I should be getting my new, to me, 80d tomorrow or the day after from B&H photo. I have a feeling this is going to be a drastic learning curve for me. Comments please.

I am not as active as many others on this site, but I have been very happy with my 80D. I have used Canon products for many years and this is my latest. The photos I was able to take on a NIGHT time tour of St. Mark's without any flash in Venice are absolutely remarkable! My daughter arranged the tour and you basically can't take photo's on day tours of this amazing edifice. My principal lens is a Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 for travel photos and it works well for me. I have been disappointed with the ability to connect and transfer photo's via internet on this camera. That may be my fault, I do not see others reporting this issue.

I loved Picasa -- but, now it is gone. I have struggled with the Google alternate and it is a P.I.T.A.

Any good choices out there? I love having access on my phone to Google Photos, but am still looking.

Anybody have any experience with the H & S "Large Screen Slide & Negative Converter" ? With the bulk attachment it is about $225 and with their Guaranteed for Life feature you can send it back for a nominal fee if you don't like it. I had the small screen model, but sent it back.

Funny - no one thinks there are any disadvantages to shooting in RAW? For casual shooting the massive file size - 10X over jpeg and the fact you MUST process every shot before it is useable seem to be significant disadvantages.

If price is a consideration the RX100III is pretty salty at $640 on Amazon. The RX100/B is $400. These appear to have great Zeiss lens, but limited zooms at 3.6X

Very interesting shot -- brings back memories from as far back as 1961 when I was in the Army stationed in Saumur. Yes, I'm an old guy. To my eye everything below the canopies seems just a tad grainy -- did you have to push to obtain the exposure you wanted in that area?
