Ah, such sweet memories of that place! Nearest thing here in Sarasota, FL is Selby Gardens, with southern flora of course, but lots of variety in the greenhouses. Moven down here in 1984, a long time ago...sigh!

On a VGA monitor???? Not possible!
<<He needs a new video card that supports HDMI as wee, preferably one with 2 - 4 GB memory>>
YES, I agree thoroughly! Guess I assumed a new PC would have that. My bad.

<<what do I need? a new monitor? this old pc does not have HDMI, only VGA?>>
FIRST, very important, you need a new PC with HDMI and at least HD output. Welcome to the modern age! :-)
IF you are serious, YES, you need a new monitor badly! Dell Ultrasharp is a good option, but there are many others. VGA is antiquated, and VERY low resolution.

I had the identical experience! Post-op I was amazed that our apartment walls were white, and not cream!!!

As soon as I had the first of my eyes treated with cataract surgery, I saw that my untreated eye cast everything I looked at in a darkish yellow, while my treated eye saw the pure colors as I remembered them. Cataracts develop so slowly that one doesn't realize how one's color perceptions are slowly changing. With both my "new eyes" now, I see color as vividly as ever. I've learned there is no such thing as "old eyes," just untreated ones. Check your vision out at an ophthalmologist, not an optometrist. If cataracts are present and treated, then in terms of your vision, you'll feel like your personal white balance has been restored.

This really depends on your needs. Luminar 4 has the catalog capabilites with many editing features of Lightroom and some like PS for around 100.00.>>
Makes sense!!! :-)

Can anyone please suggest me a free software like lightroom or similar cheap standalone software? Thank you all.
There is simply no cheap or free equivalent. Others have suggested other alternatives, but, IMHO, none really equal Lighroom for either cataloging or image quality improvement. At $10/month, it is a great value!
VERY nice, but watch your horizon levels. :-)
WOW - worth the wait!!!

I have a suggestion about our equipment naming request/hopes. Possibly we could politely ask for clarification about posts that might need it?

An excellent suggestion!!!
<<good to mention the entire “name” of what is being talked about.>>
I like it too!
