I’ve recently been searching on Craigslist for a good used Nikon D7200 the prices seem to hover around $750/$900 for body only with shutter counts as low as 20k to well over 50k.
I decided to check eBay to see how much they are going for there and have noticed quite a few for $630 to $700 brand new. Sellers list that they are shipping from New York to LA with a few from Hong Kong. If anyone has any insight or experience please help.
I would normally say that I wished that I would have gotten your email before purchasing but I looked at lenses and purchased them both. They look brand new have all the covers and nice little leather Nikon bags. I took a few low light pics and have zero regrets and might sell the 55-200 zoom or maybe donate to a fellow beginner. My main goal was for the 35mm lense. Thank you for your advise greatly appreciate it
Thank you but I haven't used auto yet. The main reason for purchase was to try and learn what and how each function works. I've had slight improvement but also came across with other issues while trying to correct another. With faster shutter speed around 500 I seem to get grainy so I'd lower the ISO then a bit darker happens. Today I used ss400 ISO 6400 with some improvement. Shutter priority mode btw. I tried these same settings yesterday with less favorable results. Images were grainy and dark. It was a different school and was not lit quite as well either. I do believe that light is my enemy at the moment because I've used the camera outside taking action photos of my dog running at full speed with zero blur and clear. I think the suggestion of a faster lense are most accurate and will seek one out soon. Thank you all for your help Ill keep trying what you've advised. Thank you
Thank you all so much. CHG canon. I just borrowed a NIKKOR AF Zoom 70-300mm f/4-5.6G from a friend whom said I can have it for $100 if I like it. The only issue is he says with my body I will have to manual focus because it is not supported with the D3300. There is also a lense hood and UV filter included. I will try it tomorrow. Any and all advise welcomed. Thank you all that have helped I will be referring back to this to reread most often. Thank you
Hello all! I have just recently purchased my first real camera because my phone just doesn't cut it anymore. The main reason is to photograph my 3 sons wrestling bouts. The movement is quite erratic and the lighting varies quite dramatically from school to school with ceiling height florescent and incandescent type lighting as well as mat colours. From red to blue and everything in between. My main problem is blurry images. My lens is the kit lense AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6GII. The venues are usually extremely loud with everybody yelling and screaming. I was wondering if all of the noise could affect the image. If anyone could please give me a baseline set up other than full auto I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you all for your time and advise in advance. I will reply with results on said settings thank you
