I have been going to that area for the last 20 years, most beautiful spots to photograph.

I am amateur, amateur. I shoot with the Nikon P1000 and Sony RX100 VI. Both cameras appealed to me because of their RAW capabilities. I have decent competency in Lightroom. My question is: I see minimal difference (if any) after processing RAW and jpeg files. Am I missing something? I don't print; I shoot only to preserve digitally the fine times in my life with family and eye-catching things in nature. Does the better quality show up only in print?

Check KelbyOne, I have watched a video where explained the process of opening a raw file in Lightroom.

The third one “boy” is a definite - perfect lighting and skin tones! I also like fright and the farmer body one. Renaissance would have been a pic if it were sharper (may be my display). Very nice all!

I agree, the composition is great, and each picture is making a statement.

6 days may seem like a long time, but you will be going all the time seeing the site Lexington to Boston, and maybe south to Plymouth. I like the water fronts to photograph. The Charles River (Memorial Dr) looking over the Boston skyline is great. The Boston water-front is a must. Enjoy

I appreciate your taking the time to help me and your explanation of the technical difference of the cameras will make a difference in the way I combine my camera body and the lenses for the photos I want to take.

Thanks, That's the kind of information I am looking for. The suggestion to move away from the group was not possible, since it was taken in a small room, but the lens suggestions were right on. I have a LUMIX 70mm 1.8 which I believe would work, but I did not have it with me, and wonder if there was a similar lens for my Canon 80D

I took a family picture of with Panasonic G4 using a 12mm to 40 lens, and was unable to move away from the group, and the size of the people in from were larger than the people in the real. I read that on a full frame camera the a 100mm fixed lens was the best to prevent this from happening. Looking for suggestions for crop camera lens.
