WOW!
Now that's something to think about. I really appreciate your input.
I have a Canon 7Dmk II, 5D MK IV with several Lens, one of which is a "Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM Lens".
I have a canon speedlite 580ex ii, and I am looking to purchase another flash. Most of my work have been Weddings and in the Studio. I am what you might call Old School. I still have my Bronica 645, Mamiya 645, Mamiya RB67 and my Hasselblad. I don't use them any more but, I still have the great memories.
Thanks for you help. I really appreciate it.

Hello everyone,
I am writing to ask if anyone you have any experience with this Flash, Canon Speedlite 470EX-AI, Auto Intelligent Flash. If so what is your thoughts about it. I am in the market to purchase a new flash for my Canon 5D mark IV.
Can you help?

Hello
And thank you for all of your support. I know that it's be a while since my last reply but I must tell you that I did purchase the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens. All I can say is WOW! This lens Great! Very sharp and crystal clear. This lens has restored my interest back into Photography once again. I am shooting a Canon 7D Mark Il. I also have a Canon EF 75-300mm F/4-5.6 III, a Tamron SP 17-50mm F/2.8 Di II and a Tamron AF 70-200mm F/2.8 (IF) Macro.

Once again thanks

Nathan

Once again thanks for your support and your patience

First I would like to thank each and every one of you for patients in helping me to navigate my way around this forum. This is my very first forum. Also, thanks to each and everyone for all of your comments and fountain of knowledge that you have shared with me. Not only did you give me plenty to think about, but, you also gave me ideals that inspired me to get back out there and take more of the photos that I like to take. When I first started in photography, my love was taking photographs of old Barns, houses, and trains.
Because of the equipment that I already have, and the types of Lens that I have, I have decided to purchase the
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Lens first and wait for the 5D Mark IV. After reading your many comments I have decided to go
for quality glass first. I cannot thank all of you enough.
This is a list of some of my equipment: I have several cameras and lens from the pass.
Canon 40D, 60D, 7D, and now 7D mark II.
1. Canon EF-S 55-250mm F/4-5.6 IS.
2. Canon "Ultrasonic" 20-135mm F/3.5-5.6 IS.
3. Canon EF 75-300mm F/4-5.6 III
4. Tamron SP 17-50mm F/2.8 Di II
5. Tamron AF 70-200mm F/2.8 (IF) Macro
6. Canon EF-S 18-55mm 3.5-5.6 IS II
7. Canon EF 50mm 1.8

Nikon D5100
1. AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm DX VR AF-s
2. AF-S Nikkor 55-300mm 4.5-5.6 DX
Once again thanks to everyone.

This is a telling answer!

I'm going to make a suggestion that you might not like, but it might end up wetting your appetite to get back out there shooting.

Find a class or course that covers portrait photography and lighting techniques, which sounds like it's your genre of choice, and concentrate on learning everything that you can. Think of it as starting from scratch. You'll be surprised what you'll learn from a new to you instructor.

You should look for a class that meets several times with assigned homework to go out and shoot using those new techniques that you've learned in class. Make sure that you check out some references of previous students. Ask them what they liked about the class, but also ask them what they didn't like about the class.

I sounds like you just need a push to get back out there, and a class could just be the stimulation that you need!

I don't claim to be an expert in anything that I do, and I learn new things every day.

Over the years I've taken several classes, and I've wished that I could have afforded to take more. Take the money you had intended to spend on new equipment and use it for the stimulation of your creative juices!

Wait to purchase a new camera or lens, you might want to get some of the following instead! Flashes, reflectors, light stands, portable backdrops, colored gels for your flashes, and the list of studio lighting equipment could go on!
This is a telling answer! br br I'm going to make... (show quote)

Thanks, I will look into that . Ii have more equipment than you can shake a stick at. I have a Studio. Studio lighting, automatic backgrounds, Green Screen, White Lighting 1600, Photogenic 600, Studio Master lighting. My studio work is love by my clients. But I loved my RB67 and Bronica better.
Weddings with 580 EXii Flash, not consistent??
