Hello all,

I recently started using "better" camera in DNG mode.
I don't do very much post processing, just basics.
Apple "Photos" is installed on my laptop.
It looks pretty easy to use...............before I take the plunge.....
Can anyone share their thoughts about using this software?

Thank you.

I appreciate the through advice from everyone. I borrows a Fuji xPro-2- 35mm1.4 and a-b'd vs my M240 with 50mm Summicron. Hands down, the FUJI is great in form and function. It does everything very well. I took the same subjects with both cameras at +2/-2 bracketed settings.
JPEG/RAW - JPEG/DNG - for simplicity sake, I loaded right in to ApplePhotos (very under appreciated software). Well....drum roll... Fuji images were great, textural and balanced..I did not like to exaggerated colors. The Leica...well is Leica, smooth, dimensional, almost "edible". Im not drinking the Leica Kool-Aid , Its my perspective. The FUJI was just more plug and play and has the autofocus I need. Next.. trying Leica glass on the FUJI, stay tuned. Again....thanks for your advice.

Hello all,
I'm a 62 year old with nearsightedness 250/275 and astigmatism.
I have been shooting Leica rangefinders, and own 2 bodies and several M mount & Zeiss lenses.
Recently, I found I lack the confidence in my focus and composition. Particularly, street, movement captures.
I wear progressive/transition glasses (polarized as well) and have used variable and fixed diopters.
I am still finding that I am not getting the "focus" and crispness I once did.
So I am looking to switch (reluctantly) systems.
Where would you recommend to start looking looking for an auto focus system
I have 2 Leica bodies and several M and Zeiss lenses.

Any suggestion are appreciated.

I have been using rangefinders (Leica) for ever. I now am nearsighted with an astigmatism, and also wear polarized, progressive lenses. Focusing is getting harder for me. I love the rendering, size and ease of Leica. I also own 5 lenses. I want to stay within the same weight, footprint as Leica. I am a manual plug and play guy, I don't read manuals or scroll thru 100 options I will never use.
What suggestions do you have for me. BTW I shot with a Nikon D850 , amazing quality, but the weight and size is way too much. Advise please and thanks in advance.

I am thinking about breaking out my (1960) Voightlander shoot some film.
Any suggestions for light meters?
I am hearing some good things about Luxo and Iphone meters...any suggestions.

TIA

Alan
