My son in preschool had a few “he man” toys. You know the rubber figurines with all the unrealistic bulging muscles. Now over 30 years later he works out daily lifts 400 pounds, is handsome, but still considers himself ugly because in his growing brain an image was created what a man should look like even though he had a father as a normal role model. I would guess young girls given Barbie dolls would have a similar poor self-image. I agree posters for beauty products should not be manipulated as it could create unrealistic expectations. Other photo editing may be okay.

Buy a camera from big box store or not? When I purchased my Cannon D-80 I shopped big box stores, Amazon, ruputable mail order such as Adorama. B &H, the local camera dealer and direct purchase from Cannon. ALL dealers had the same price to the penny. Adorama may give you a "free accessories kit" which includes things you might already have such as camera bag, tripod, lens cleaner, and they try to up sell you a better bag, better SD card so one spends more then they initially planned on.

If one purchases from a reputable mail order company like the Manufacture, B&H Adroma you MAY save some money by not paying your states sales tax. Shipping cost may be charged.

Choice between buying local from Best Buy or local camera dealer GO TO LOCAL DEALER. They are will give you free help, are very knowledgeable, will tell the truth what a setting is for and not give you made up b.s. answer. The local camera store may give free camera lessons with camera purchase which for me is easier than reading the book. All sources selling Cannon are the same price, I don't know about other brands.

My 80D Canon did not come with any software disk but Canon has free software for downloading. You will have to supply your camera serial number, located underneath the camera near the tripod mount.
In Google type: Canon 80D software. be sure to click Canon USA or use this link. https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/cameras/dslr/eos-80d.

The camera comes with "BASIC Instruction manual" consisting of 308 pages. You can download Canon INSTRUCTION Manual consisting of 526 pages at:

Don't know about Nikon prices, I purchased a Canon recently. Canon price are all the same to the penny regardless where you buy it from. If u buy from local DEALER (not big blue box store) you may receive free how to classes, free prints, annual cleaning & more. Buy from local DEALER help support his business for when you might need his services.

If you buy mail order you may save 5-10% if you don't pay sales tax in your state on out of state purchases. Adorama gives away the best "free gifts" such as another tripod, tiny camera case, inexpensive filters. All had free shipping before holidays now don't know.

Nikon has a online store so you can purchase directly.

Have a HP laptop notebook using Windows7 Home Premium. When I try to type something such as a password, an e-mail, search, word document ” the ghost in my haunted” computer types ++++++++++++ by itself until I hit another key as shown in the example here when I was trying to type a number +++++++20++++9+2+++++++++++6++.
I have NEVER spilled anything on the ke+yboard. Ran full virus scan and did live chat with Norton, they found nothing. HP was not of any help.
Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

I owned an Epson printer once and will never own one again. I had just stocked up on non refundable ink and the printer quite working. Much time was spent washing out the ink of ink jet pad until it was white again, I reinstalled the ink pad, and it still would not work. Epson scams the public by putting in a secret counter in their printers that permanently shuts the printer down after X number of copies are printed -planned obsolesce!
Epson lost a class action law suit because their printers told the users it was out of ink before the cartridge was dry; this was another unethical scam by Epson trying to get more of your dollars.

Yes, DSLR are pricy. I too am living in the past; I had an Olympus OM2 film SLR with a couple large bags full of lenses. Decided to upgrade with about a $300 budget, OPPS, welcome to the 21st century!
Canon has three grades of D-SLR’s: beginner, Intermediate, and advanced. I read reviews in which people purchased the beginner grade and out grew it in six months so I purchased an intermediate level, the Canon D80 with an 18-135 zoom lens for $1500. It has many great features such as AF mode which automatically controls the brightness, flash, color- tone, to SCN which combines several motion shots into 1 picture plus 10 other modes. Took it on vacation BEFORE reading owner‘s manual and NOT practicing in advance. Shoot 2500 fairly nice pictures before I read the book so it is easy to use.
If you can do without the ability to change lens, and stay in budget, why not consider a large point and shoot that measures about 4.75 X 3 X 3.5 inches? This style has a large rounded grip on the right side for grasping the camera. One such choice is Canon’s SX530 with a 24-1200 mm equivalent built in lens. Refurbished cost $149.99 or new $279.99 (CHRISTmas sale prices). Canon has an excellent sales- help line staffed with knowledgeable employees that speak clear United States English (800-385-21550).

The deals are on the official Canon web pages. For the 80D with the 18-135 lens go to:
https://shop.usa.canon.com/shop/en/catalog/cameras click EOS DIGITAL MODELS then click CAMERA MODEL click 80D

For the camera bundle with the two lens go to
https://shop.usa.canon.com/shop/en/catalog/cameras then click EOS CAMERA BUNDLES click 80D bundles.

As far as getting the best price;, Amazon, Adorama, B&H, Canon, your local camera store (if there is one in your area) they are all the same down to the penny, look for free shipping. Adorama and B&H offer "free" items such as inexpensive filter, lens cleaning solution. If you buy mail order you may save on sales tax.

Canon’s EOS 80D is available as: (a) body only, (b) EF-S 18-135 IS USM lens as a kit, (c) as a bundle that includes two lenses; EF-S 18-135 IS USM lens , and EF-S 55-250.

Question 1: Is the EF-S 18-135 IS USM lens in the kit the exact same speciations, quality etc as the Canon EFS 18-135 IS USM lens sold separately? (Don’t laugh, some items with the same model number made by the same manufacture have different specifications depending which box store is selling it. This can be verified by looking at the serial number, it might have a letter L, or B in the serial number.)

Question 2: Is it redundant to include a two lens set consisting of an 18-135 and 55-250 lenses in a bundle with the 80D? Is not the 55-135 regions duplication?
