Really excellent picture of the Camber area of Pompey.
Picture number 2 with the minor corrections that you have made makes it a wall hanger (and I am speaking as a real Pompey lad with a pedigree going back some 86 years)
Well done
Fred
WOW! What clarity. Well done
I envy you having these birds, they are so beautiful.
In Western Australia they are considered to be a menace and are theoretically banned except for home avaries.
The powers that be consider that as they are so active they pinch all the nesting holes in trees thus denying the native parrots breeding places.
However a few years ago someone released some breeding pairs along the Swan river and they are doing very nicely. With luck they will get down to my home before I depart.
WA still muster shooting parties if a sparrow is seen at the SA/WA border. (I love sparrows too).
Laura, looking at your display there shouldn't be any critics or know alls.
I would love to see your bird pictures but the local bus doesn't go to Texas.
Be proud - I would be.
Fred
People on a visitor's visa to Australia can be asked how much money they have or have access. The reason is that someone who states he or she is going to stay in a city such as Sydney and do touring but have a ridiculously a small amount of money is very likely to be planning to work which is banned for those who have a visitors visa.
So anyone planning to work in Oz should make sure that they have the correct visa or you are most likely to be turned around and on your way back to where you flew from.
You must be right. I immediately went on the internet and the Willy Wagtail is always shown and described as having a white belly and I noted white eyebrows. Sorry about that. I still IMAGINE the wagtail is black all over. I'll go through my photos as I am sure I have a couple which are fairly clear.
Watch this space!
Strange. In WA or at least the SW Willy Wagtails are black all over. Makes for real difficulty to photograph. As you said they only stay still for a second so the capture is very difficult, They also have very black eyes which blend with their overall colour.
Regardless, they are beautiful and I think everyone loves them.

A name like Cameraf4 with even an avatar of a photographer must surely show that the contributor is a avid photographer. The entry is published under the section "General Chit Chat (non photography talk), the same section that non photography jokes are shown.
Looks very damp and needs a lot of work to be livable.
However I thought your picture first class and one that has to be looked at in download to get the full effect.
Fred
No 3 is a beaut. Great catch. (good cricket match yesterday)

Victoria, Australia's most populist State has quoted that over the last five years,11% of drivers killed who were tested had ecstasy, speed or crystal methamphetamine (ice) in their system and 18% of drivers and motorcyclists killed on the states roads tested positive to THC, the active component of cannabis.
When quoting statistics of deaths involving alcohol it would pay to comment on the increasing use of so called party drugs. They are not safe and neither is marijuana
No.2 with a little less processing. I would have gone immediately for No 1 as I think it is outstanding but is spoilt by the handler looking away as if he has nothing to do with it.
Well said srt101fan. I believe that your observations coupled with your explanations must meet the queries of those of the digital learning ladder as the best that I recall on the forum.
Again well done
Fred
Great pictures of my favourite county. Makes me think of Cornish Pasties....the real ones.
Fred
That is one beautiful bird. Well done
