There is no Extension Manager in cc2015. It was eliminated for some reason. I didn't have a problem loading extensions in version cc2014. All my extensions didn't carry over in the upgrade. I lost 4 favorites.

There is an extension manager in 2015 I just looked at it. It is under the help menu. 'Manage Extensions'. If it is not there you need to reinstall 2015.

Have you tried going to the 'Help' Pull down in Photoshop and clicking on 'Manage Extensions'? It should open the extension manager. In the upper left corner there is a button that says 'Install' also under 'File' on the right side of the extension manager there is a menu item that says 'Install Extension'. It should allow you to navigate to the folder that you have extracted Raya Pro in and install it that way. That is my last guess. I am out of ideas if that does not work. I hope this works for you.

I guess I installed it in cc2014. I had no problems with it when I got the 2015 update. That is what I am running now and it works for me with no problems. Sorry you are having such a hard go of it.

I used the auto installer. It worked perfectly for me. Sorry you are having such problems. Is Photoshop running when you install? If so shut it down and try the install again. If that doesn't work I would get in touch with Jimmy McLntyre and tell him the problems you are having. I am sure he will help you out. Sorry I could not be of more assistance.

It works fine for me. Click on the drop down menu named 'Window' go down to 'Extensions' and click on Raya Pro. The panel should open in your work space and you can move it to where you want it. You can dock it if you want to. Hope this helps.

That is, if you want to exploit anything after taking the image...that's a point of view.

When I was shooting digital jpgs, they were fine for me, I had no inclination to shoot raw so that I could make them into something they are not by sitting in front of a computer.

Now that I'm shooting film exclusively, I like it even less.

I assume from your comment that once you shoot your roll of film that you put it in a drawer without developing? That is the equivalent of shooting raw and not processing it.

Greg is this more like it? I wish I could be there to see it. (He says trying to sound cool but oozing with jealousy.) ;)

Greg it is hard to process a photo when you haven't seen the place where the photo was taken. The colors I got were from the levels adjustment. The latest edition of Lightroom and Photoshop has a haze adjustment slider in Abobe Camera Raw.

We were out on a marine tour out of Seward, Ak, the other day, looking for whales and other marine critters to photograph. I took my Panasonic Lumix FZ200, and encountered a unique problem that surfaced, especially at full optical zoom. Almost all of those photos came out with a rather milky appearance. Can't figure that one out.

Second question--When attempting to shoot the whales at a distance, the camera had a horrible time focusing. Could that be due to lack of contrast across the water? I was shooting in full auto mode, as any other mode didn't seem to make much difference, other than I was able to successfully overexpose a few, to the extent that they were immediately deleted. I would appreciate any constructive comments and suggestions.

Here are a couple examples of the milky appearance. And no, I wasn't shooting into the sun.

I think part of it is a white balance problem although I have been wrong before. The white of the boat and the waves are both blown out. Shooting in a raw format as suggested can help solve some of these type problems.

The purpose of multiple exposures is to capture all of the detail in the highlights and to capture all of the detail in the mid range as well as all of the detail in the shadows. Then to use those parts of the 3, 5, 7 or how many photos you need to use to capture all of those gradients of light and combine them into one photo. You will have to learn some processing skills too. the automatic functions in most software will yield harsh and unrealistic results. It is very rewarding if you follow through.

Lynda.com should shorten your learning curve substantially. At least check them out. Good luck with the new career.

There are some issues with the photos you have posted but I believe that they can be cleaned up and made quite a bit better. If you will post either or both and click the "store original" box we could try and see if there isn't something we could do to clean them up a little. You may want to look into using a tripod. As we age we lose some of our ability to hold things a still as we once did. Your eye is fine and there is no reason to quit over an error. I have learned way more from my errors than I ever did from my successes. You have the camera and I am guessing the time. There are free courses all over the internet. I am sure Olympus has a ton of them. I believe that the focus issue is camera shake. Learning the ISO triangle is a must and is actually pretty easy. I mean, it's only three things. From there you learn Depth of Field. Then you put those things together. Afterwards you learn some processing skills. If this sounds like a lot it really is not as long as you take it a step at a time. By the way if he wants I would be willing to donate a couple of photos to your brother to use as he sees fit.

Try this. It is directly from Canon and a one year warranty.
