Perfect! I do like the touch up. Great view of a super moon.

Thank you. Details was what I was hunting for but not just dark details. I can see a lot of light details too but perhaps it is too dark since a lot of people don't view on a calibrated monitor.

Is this one too dark? There are little specks of noise and stars in the black that should be visible too.

Yes, lol, thanks for noticing! That was a self shot. I've always enjoyed that particular photograph of myself.

I just wanted to add this in the topics, seems to be a night of moon photographs. Seen a few posted anyway.
I was shooting with a lens that was given to me a while back. I looked it up on ebay and found out it's an extremely cheap lens. Opteka 600mm-1300mm super zoom lens. It is cheap and you can tell it, but it didn't do to bad for this image.

No post processing done

It shows a lot of dark details, if that's what you was hunting for, great job. I particularly like mine a certain way as you have stated in your post. I like it. Good job. Moons are hard to shoot.

I was practicing tonight for tomorrow's super moon. We have lots of wild fires in the area and the air is filled with smoke. Now they're saying that most of them were arson, and have made one arrest so far. Firefighters from all over the country are coming in to help.

I had to wait for the moon to rise higher where the smoky haze was a little thinner. The "Dehaze" function in Elements 14 helped a little.

Nicely done. I like it.

Can't tell from the small picture you posted, but are you saying that your XT-2 produces an image of better quality than your full frame D800? Can you post identical downloads of the same picture under the same lighting conditions from both cameras using similar focal length lens?

I would want to see this as well! Nice clarity coming from a Fuji

These are nice, I am glad you have shared them. The white chest in a lot of these are over exposed but other wise nice composition.
