Can't beat it for the price! I've had mine (V500) for 4 years-mostly for business. But I recently finished well over a thousand scans of photos prints and slides (from a past life). Photos were briefly retouched-color, dust and fold/scratches. Slides like wise color corrected and sharpened. Kept both TIFF and JPG for printing and web posting. Only real negative-takes a while!! Nice to be able to share those memories!
Hotel Frontenac and Old Quebec (especially at night) have wonderful architecture. I assume they still have the toboggan slide and the Cog Rail all in the same vicinity. Great shots all-especially the people in their winter finery!
Great Stuff, Busted Shutter!
Great Stuff, Busted Shutter!
I have had some great shots with my Lumix and Ikelite housings.
They won't compete with my old Nikonos or DSLR with housing-But some great shots!
Alas, while I am not normally pro Union, less than 6% of the US work force is currently Union-Mostly Auto and Heavy construction and teachers-no camera manufacturers that I know of...Just a Thought...
I just received a number of old slides.
I have an Epson 300 scanner
Even at 600 dpi, scanning with Photoshop CS5; scans are unacceptable.
Scanning into PDF format seems OK
Thoughts/advice?
I'd like to do it once correctly-also Photoshop files are
104 mb
I highly recommend Unesco as your go to snorkel/SCUBA guide.
Diving or snorkeling with the dolphins is great. If you have time and some extra $$, Ben's Cave is a wonderful cavern dive-it is protected and reservations for the few dives allowed take some time in advance but. There are also some great little parks-depending on the time of year flamingos may be there. All these are in Freeport/Grand Lucaya. Many market are very colorful! Careful of your surroundings-most Bahamians are great-bt there are a few...Not so great. Have fun
Unesco Leslie with Dolphons-Unforgetable!
In addition to the 30 day trial, you might try lynda.com.
For a slight fee you can get some great tutorials linking CS5 and Corel Painter 12
Well bespoke. I thought I'd never have to buy another camera after purchasing my Nikon F with Photomic head in Hong Kong (1970-Courtesy of Uncle Sam). Alas, I was mistaken.
Likewise, my Nikonos V has been replaced by point and shoots in housings.
And, where would I be without point and shoot, DSLR D90, 50-500 Sigma AND of course, my IPhone...???
Looks like a classic picture of a Red Head Duck
Most electronic items come with a little pouch of dessicant. I microwave on low or put in oven at warm (less than 200F) and put it inside housings. Cuts down (eliminates) fog. One of my cameras is an Olympus tough series in an Olympus case (doubly protected). The other is an older Lumix (Panasonic DMC ZS7) in an Ikelite housing. I use dessicant in both. The photos are both taken free diving (snorkling). First with Olympus and second with
Lumix
My guess is that you will have your hands full with three GCs.
Take the smaller lens and you'll stil be able to run after them and take their shots. And, most of all ahve fun with the wee ones!!
I have used the Epson Perfection V500 with excellent success for slides. Not sure how speed/quality is compared with the 700, but at 1/4 the cost pretty darn good.
