I have set up a rule for these messages. When they arrive in my inbox, the rule automatically send them to the junk folder and I never see them. I empty the junk folder once a week just to clear the trash.

I am looking to purchase the Sunwayfoto GH-PRO II 3-Way geared tripod head. In the specs it mentions the max load of the tripod head is 4kg or 8.8 lbs. It seems that many of the smaller ball heads on the market have a max load bordering on 20 lbs. with the larger ball heads doubling or tripling this load.
I would like to know if anyone has experience with or knowledge of the GH-PRO II and if it is sturdy enough to support a DSLR mounted with a Tamron 150-600mm zoom lens. All the reviews and videos I have viewed show the GH-PRO II geared head mounted with a DSLR and a standard lens. The information I am interested in is whether the GH-PRO II can support the Tamron zoom lens, especially in its extended position. Thanks in advance for your help with this!

I use a Benro GD3WH geared head on a Oben tripod. I mounted my Canon 90D with battery grip and a Canon 100-400 lens. The geared head handled the weight with no issues.

Are you using type I or type II? The II has two rows of contacts. The type I has a single row.

I am using type II with two rows of contacts. My current reader reads the cards extremely slow, 30 plus seconds per raw picture.

Good Day Hogs:

I am looking for a new SDXC card reader. I want a high speed USB 3.0 or higher with either a USC C or USB A connector.

My current card reader will not read the SDXC cards form my Canon R6MII cards as it was manufactured before the new cards came out.

Thanks in Advanced.

Benro 3-Way Geared Head (GD3WH),

This has the Arca- Swiss release plate. I have one on order.

I also have a Benro GD3WH mounted on a Oben AG-236i tripod. I hold my Canon 90D with a grip and 100-400 lens rock steady. The two speed adjustment makes it a winner.

I travel with a Canon r6mii. It has 2 sd card slots. I have slot one set up as JPG and slot two set up as raw. I travel with 28 128 GB sd cards inserting another one at the start of each day. I do not carry a laptop. This gives me two week of photos with a backup if a card fails. Sd cards from the major vendors SanDisk, Lexar and Kingston are extremely reliable. I the last 18 years I have yet to have a card go bad. They are reformatted before they are reused.

I have pretty much always used 32g cards. Big enough.
I use a full frame Canon R6 so the files are pretty big.
It brings me in around 1,000 frames.
Generally on a 2 week travel vacation I will pretty much fill a card and sometimes I'll use 2 camera so 32g each.

I did manage to fill 4 cards on a recent to Iceland... never before more than 2.
After a trip I'll generally save the cards and file them.
Locally I'll erase and reuse the cards.

I see but can't really grasp using a giant card... 256g, more?
Why?

Anyway,
What does everybody think on this?

I use SanDisk 128gb cards in my Canon r6mii. I use the same size cards in both slots. I use a new set of cards each day while on vacation. Recent 1 week trip to Texas I took 24 cards with me. I don't travel with a computer so save the downloads for when I get home.

I'm looking for suggestions for an on camera flash modifier. I would like something small but effective and easy on and off. This would be for indoor photos with walls and ceilings less than ideal for bounce flash.

I have received many good suggestions for this group. Thank You!!
I am going to start with the suggestion from DirtFarmer using some card stock and a rubber band. If this works then I will proceed to purchase a commercial product similar to this idea. I if it doesn't work out, there are many other suggestion that have been made by the Hogs that should solve my issue.

I will be using a Yongnuo YN600EX-RTII flash unit on a Canon R6mii so I'll see how things turn out.

Thanks again to the know of this group.

What are you trying to modifies ???

I am taking photos of a family reunion in a large banquet room with high dark ceilings and I don't want the flat look of a head on flash.
