When you use the on board flash with a wide angle lens or a lens hood, this is the end result. Great effect isn't it. You can crop the photos or use PP to get rid or lessen the it.

I have a Tamron SP 10-24mm 1;3.5-4.5 lense. The last couple times I used this lense, I see a shadow on the bottom of the picture. If I turn it to the side the shadow moves with it. What could it possibly be. Never dropped or jarred, I handle all my equipment like a baby. See picture for example.

Well, I ride a Harley and regardless of what the BMW riders and others say, I carry my Nikon D90 and several lenses with me on all my trips. However, I carry it in my trunk and not the saddlebags. I have my clothes and other things underneath of it to cushion it some. I travel roughly 10-14,000 miles a year and my camera is always with me.

I did a little experiment. I took my 49 cal. S&W, layed it on the floor next to the front door and left the door cracked open. I hid back up the stairs for over 2 hours. NOTHING happened. I must have one well behaved pistol.

I keep the plastic holder that comes with the batteries. I use a marker and mark one end with a "C" for charged and the other "D" for dead. When placing in the plastic holder, I place the contacts in the direction that best describes the battery. I always know which ones are charged and which ones need charged.

Good Morning HedgeHogs,

I keep getting confused over which of my batteries are charged and which are not.
I have two or three each of different styles of battery for different camera bodies and once they are charged I have no way of identifying them against the discharged ones.
Apart from a sticky label or writing on them, (which isnt particularly convenient), do any of you have a clever way of noting which are charged and which are discharged?

I would say become a flasher, but at that distance, the sun might be more powerful than your flash.

There used to be a Ritz store in our town until they closed and I did a lot of business with them. They had some people in there that had a lot of knowledge and if they were not busy, they would gladly talk to you and answer any questions/problems you had.

Exactly accurate. Ford or Chevy? They still get you from one palce to anither. There ain't a thing wrong with good natured bantering though.

Mikey...

I had a Nikon D-70s with this exact problem. I say had because I had a wedding coming up in a couple weeks and I was just getting it out and trying a few new things when the shutter started acting up. My local Nikon dealer took it in but said it would take about 4-6 weeks to get it back. So, I ended up buying the D-90 with no regrets. When they called to say it was done it was only about $65.00 total for repairs. I would check a local dealer if you have one nearby. In the meantime, I gained the backup camera I had been wanting.good luck
