Martin- What type of duck is that in the 4th photograph? I can't find anything on him. Beautiful photos! I especially like the one of the two American Coots fighting on the water!

A sunset, is a sunset, is a sunset ... and then this!

That is just beautiful and so far from run of the mill.

Well done!

I agree, Bill. I love sunsets, but they have to be very unusual to catch my attention. Thanks to all for your comments and for viewing!

This Texas Jack was hanging around the house yesterday and I was able to get a few photos of him before he decided it was time to move on. Thanks for looking!

Maybe he won't see me

The first two I found in my archives and was surprised I had forgotten them. The Meadowlark I captured the other day as I was arriving home. Thanks for viewing!

Close ups it seems to do quite well. Some distant shots can be questionable. I contact Nikon and see what they say.

Did your camera focus better once you got it back from Nikon?

Thanks Tpharm!

Thank you, MMC. This is the information I was needing. Not what I wanted, but now I know. Guess it's time to start saving the old green backs for a higher end body. I have been looking at the D810. Think it's time to look deeper now.

Thanks again! -HD

I've been having some issues with how sharp a photo or series of photos are when using my D5200. I read elsewhere in this forum that it is possible to calibrate the camera focus. I've searched through my camera menu, the manual and the larger reference manual and can't find anything on this. I know this is a lower end Nikon and may not have this option. I really like this camera and don't want to buy a higher end body, not to mention not being able to pay that kind of money for one at this time.

I feel I'm doing everything correctly, so I don't know if it's the camera or the interface between the eye piece and the shutter release.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance. -HD

Sorry, but the Three Stooges came to mind when I first saw you picture. Regardless, it's a great photo!
