Thanks my Foto Friend. Exactly what I needed to know. This is why I'm a UHH member.
Carl
My wife and I are going on an African safari in a few weeks, and need some advise about the correct voltage adaptors. I will NOT need voltage converters, just the physical adaptors.
We are going to both Kenya and Tanzania. I understand that a Type G will work in Kenya, but not sure about Tanzania. Can any of the world traveling UHH folks advise me?
Thanks, Carl

Hi there puzzlers - have a go at this one - suggest an answer but DON'T give your method (I want to keep people guessing for a bit) - I'll post the solution in a few days time!

It is a pretty nice lens but I have the Nikon 200-500 and no longer need this one. It’s in great shape too.
The is Nikon's classic Micro-Nikkor AF 105mm f/2.8 D lens. The Macro lens has a minimum focus distance of 0.31m with a maximum object magnification of 1:1. This prime lens has a minimum aperture of f/32 and uses a 52mm filter size. The lens has been well cared for and is in great condition with no visible scratches on the lens glass or body. The interior of the lens is dust free and has been kept in a humidity-controlled camera case.
Since the front element doesn’t rotate, a polarizer can be used with no problem. This is an AF-D lens with no internal AF motor and requires a camera with a focusing motor. The lens can be easily switched to either manual or auto focus. A focus limiter is available to limit focus hunting when using the lens for non-macro photography. Front and rear lens caps are included.

My wife is flying to Egypt in 2 weeks after a long 2-year delay getting past Covid. She wants to take photos on her trip using a D750 DSLR and Nikon 28-300 walk-around lens. She has read messages and precautions about not being able to take photos inside regular tourist venues. Some say fees are required or that cameras are not allowed at all or that cameras can be kept in a camera bag. Hoping there are some recent travelers to Egypt that can clarify what she can and can't do while over there.
Also, any alternate lens suggestions...trying to limit the weight?
Thanks EVERYONE. It appears that the consensus is that my camera is fine and I don’t need to worry. Doing the additional comparison tests pretty much convinced me that all is well.
Setting the ADL caused issues as well as just a variance in the characteristics of the 2 cameras. I have noticed some differences in the past but these seemed worse. In the past I’ve also tried underexposing 1/3 stop but recently I have been attempting to ETTR more to help limit noise.
Again, thanks for all the great input and help in resolving my apparent problem.
Sorry, I didn't realize that I needed to select "Store Original". So here they are again in the same order as referenced.
Thanks for all you efforts and assistance,
As you suggested, attached are 4 separate photos taken with both Camera 1 and Camera 2. All were shot outdoors on my lanai, mounted on a tripod using a timed shutter release. Camera 1 was the one I thought I was having trouble with.
For each Camera, I used the same lenses switching between a Nikon 28-300mm and Nikon 105mm f:/2.8. File names reflect the Camera and lens options: (Cam 1 28-300mm, Cam 1 105mm, Cam 2 28-300mm and Cam 2 105mm). Settings were basically the same; I shot in Aperture Priority set to f:/8. The exposures were at 1/20 and 1/30 sec. for 3 of the shots, but I found it odd that one was at 1/8 sec. Since these were all shot outdoors, perhaps the light changed for that one shot. I did notice that ADL was set to Auto for Cam 1, and set to Low for Cam 2, but I don't think that would have affected the exposure.
This was an interesting endeavor and after closely examining the photos I can't really see any differences in IQ. Perhaps it was a difference in the 2 lenses I was comparing yesterday. Perhaps it was much ado about nothing!
But, in any event thank you for your help and suggestions. And, after looking at the EXIF data, if you can see a reason for the change in shutter speed for that single photo, I would be interested in hearing your thoughts.
Thanks for both of the responses...that's why I belong to the UHH club. It has been a few years since I had the camera cleaned, so I don't mind having it done, and if they can check/calibrate it at the same time, I'm thinking it would be a good thing to consider doing. The Nikon service is advertised at $89 with an estimated 5 day turnaround. Shipping would be on top of that. There is an excellent Nikon repair person here in town, but if parts are needed then I'd still have to send it to Nikon. Guess I'll give him a call in the morning, to see what his thoughts are. Thank you both for your input.
