Hello and welcome. Are you going to stick a picture on to let us see what you've been up to?

Welcome to the club! I also live in Colorado and use Canon gear, so if I can help you I will.
Thanks, I will count on it. Exactly why I chose this strip.
Coming in hard and fast :D
I have dabbled in photography over 40 years and got away from it when it all started to go digital. I used mostly Canon gear owning both an FTB and AE1 bodies with an assortment of Canon and other lenses. I also owned a large format Mamiya.
I am an avid fly fisherman, and as my exploits have taken me across the western states, I have been capturing images using a point and shoot and various cellphones. Friends like my pictures and say I have a good eye, but I am my own worst critic. Although I have used natural light and composition to my advantage, I see all the limitations of not having control of all the elements.
Both my sons recently bought Canon T3i kits to better capture their young family and thought I should make the jump and do some serious coverage of my grandkids myself, hence my decision to join you in this place and seek advice on equipment choices and such mundane things.
Perusing the forum, I find you a most welcoming community and think I have found a place to land.
