The Dream ...Jaume Plensa's 20m high sculpture at Sutton Manor ..... This was an old colliery site now reclaimed as a local park ... I had planned on filming the demolition of 4 of the eight towers at Fiddlers ferry which was planned on that day... Unfortunately the mist put that to bed... Still a lovely walk ..

A little walk up Watkins path today... From Ancient woodlands to the section where they filmed "Carry On up the Khyber" and Private Widdle lost his undies to Bungditin the Burper.... Past the Gladstone rock(of Gladstone bag fame) then onwards and upwards to the summit with a quick descent down Ryd Dhu back across to Watkins at the waterfall....

Very nice indeed.

And just because a camera is old it does not mean it cannot take great photos. It is always down to the photographer and his or her skills to make great photos, no matter what camera or its age. So great work.

BTW, my Canon EOS 600D 18MP DSLR (aka Canon "Rebel T3i" in USA I think) is about 12 years old too now, and I still use it sometimes. It has a flip screen, which I like to use when using Live View and when I mount my camera upside-down on my tripod in particular (for macro jobs mainly), whereas my Canon 5D Mark 4 does not have a flip screen.
Very nice indeed. br br And just because a came... (show quote)

Getting used to the cameras limitations is fun and a learning curve..... 1/800th max shutter.... Dont go beyond ISO400 (despite the diatribe on digital ISO being fake from 4 years ago ) ...

The 'Hundred Year Stone' is a sculpture by Peter Randall-Page located on the shore of Derwent Water between Calf Close Bay and Broomhill Point. It was made in 1995 to celebrate the Centenary of the National Trust.

Taken from the National trust website...

Seen a bargain on Ebay and couldn't resist snapping it up... under 700 shots a H4D-31 HC80mm F2.8 and all genuine... Took it out today to grab a few shots...The second original image is over 30mbs so I've had to reduce to a 6mb file... The last two shots are the camera

that photo looking down on the loch and village, is where I scattered my Mum's ashes, was on New Year's day my niece husband drove us up there, we drove around as it was very cold rainy and grey as we rounded the bend the sun came out of the clouds and shone down on the loch, my sister and I decided this is the spot, we made our way up to the top of the hill hanging onto a rope as we climbed to the top, my Mum was able to look down on the castle, loch, village and the woods behind it is a beautiful spot even in the cold grey winters day we were there, when we go back we always wave to my Mum

Had a few hours so visited the Duke of Argylls family seat in Scotland...... The castle was rebuilt in the 1700s and was nearly destroyed by fire on two separate occasions the last being 1975 on bonfire night..... Definitely worth a visit as the scenery overlooking the Castle and Loch Fyne from the "Dun Na Cuaiche" water tower is stunning and worth the walk up (248m)... The Campbell family have owned the land since the 1470's eventually gaining Dukedom status in the 1600's ..... The most famous of the family would possibly be Princess Louise 4th daughter of Queen Victoria who married John Campbell 9th Duke of Argyll as they had no children the Dukedom passed on to brother Archibalds siblings then on to younger brother Walters siblings...... Reminds me of the Ealing old classic "Kind hearts and Coronets" ..... American musical duo of Lerner & Loewe composed several songs for "My Fair Lady" on the Piano located in the Saloon room....
