From the marina dock with no forethought or planning. Had camera in hand, looked up and there they were playing in the sunset. I snapped the shot, upon review I liked the composition, so a keeper.

When visiting the San Juan's the two biggest attractions are Friday harbor and Roche harbor
Both have endless photo opts and history. Also American camp. All three are on San Juan island. Rent a car at Friday harbor in order to cover more ground and you can ferry between the islands. Lopez island is also very interesting, I love to visit the take it or leave it on Lopez, also fisherman's bay.
