I bought a lens from KEH and the cost was very good. It did not work on my nikon d3100. It works perfectly on my Nikon d7100. So I highly recommend you do the research and can even call them before you purchase it.

I am out in the field shooting and don't have computer access when I wanted to use the two cards. Are there SD cards which can connect to a wifi?

I think there is a way to see if the photos were done on another camera. I read it in one of my nikon books but can't remember which one. One of the cards reads full but it was used on either a nikon d3100 or a canon point and shoot. Thank you. But you can not see any images on my nikon d 7100.

How do you know if there is information on your SD card by just using your nikon d7100? This is if you are on the road and not wanting to erase pictures or videos. I shot the videos or pictures with other sources and don't want to format the cards before I know they have info that I already saved on my pc.

How can you tell if the lenses are auto focus? I have a nikon d3100 with the kit lens 18-55 dx 3.5-5.6. The other lenses I have are a nikon 55-200 dx 4-5.6 and a nikon 50 dx 1.4. I bought some manual lenses but I think I would rather buy more of the auto lenses instead of the manual ones. Any suggestions on a other brand would be great as well. I am in the process of receiving a d7100 body only and would keep the two cameras ready to shoot. I am looking for just one more lens ( 28-300 maybe ).

The d7100 is another body . I have bought a few lenses that are old school ( manual ). I have been shooting mostly aperture priority in the beginning. I got a few tips from a prof fellow that has a d700 and he said I should try shooting in manual mode. I have been shooting in manual mode now. The 24 mm 2.8 nikon lens is a manual mode lens anyway. My prime lens is a 50 mm 1.4.

I am an old school photo guy. I used Minolta camera with film for many years. I just started using DSLR nikon d3100 7 months ago. I am loving all advice I am receiving on this website. I am now in the process of getting a D7100.
This is a wonderful website! Thank you !
