I have started using filters-clear UV generally for protection and circular polarizing (camera Nikon D-7100 DSLR)

I have to date purchased Tiffen brand seemed to be well reviewed and much less expensive. Can anybody chime in whether the much more expensive ones offer anything better than these?

Can you give exact details as to which one this is?

I just joined. I was shooting a Pentax K20 but over the years found it be finicky and often needed service even the lenses. For Christmas got Nikon D7100 with two lenses (the Costco package) and have added a telephoto and wide angle. I am anxious to get started.

Any suggestions on good manuals on using this to its fullest? With the Pentax I got the Magic Lantern which was very insightful
