I appreciate grayscale/black and white/monochrome photos because I find that color sometimes distracts from the message of the photo. Your eye tends to gravitate to the brightest color and you miss the story the picture has to tell.
There are some photos I like in color, but I always test what they look like in black and white.
Thank you for sharing, your photos are quite lovely!
Thank you all for your kind comments.
A few of the photos I liked the best from my two day stay at Cheney Reservoir, Kansas
Thank you all for taking a look at my photos and for your kind words.
Took a drive to Bald Falls in Tennessee with family there.
Love it, makes me homesick for the northern California coast.
Thank you all, for your kind words. I thought it was photo worthy, enough so to drive 4 hours one way to record it.

I really like the second one. For me, color sometimes is distracting. With many color photos my eyes are drawn to the brightest color or to my favorite color. But with grayscale or black and white, my eyes look at the entire picture. It allows me to see the whole story of the photo, not just focus on one part of it. Thanks for posting.
I hope he sticks around for a while because something has been eating on my tomatos before they ripen. Thanks for viewing!
Peered through my kitchen window, grabbed my camera ran out barefoot and snapped these. 5-5-21
