The right hand side of the screen is blurry because I was focused on the boat. Do you think it would be a better shot if everything was in focus?

I was out last Saturday morning shooting a soccer game and saw this out on the Delaware River. Let know your thoughts on the pic.

I appreciate all of the feedback. I removed the filter and shot with f8.0 and I feel like the pictures came out better. Thanks again for all of the replies.

I shoot with a Canon 70d with 70-200mm 2.8 Sigma lens. This is my main lens that I use for Basketball. I am very pleased with the pictures that it produces. However I added this teleconverter for Baseball and Soccer shots however they don't seem to be as sharp. Is there a setting that I need to tweak when I use the teleconverter? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Oh - the other thing you asked was what to charge. Hard to know what your market is like, but I charged $29 for an 8x10 and $19 for a 5x7. If they wanted a 4x6, that was $12 or 3 for $30.

I know many here will say that is expensive. Well, I was not there for charity and the images were excellent. The vast majority were repeat customers who were willing to pay for high quality sports images.

If you are going to do this, do not sell then at give-away prices as the people who will buy will usually buy at any reasonable price level.
Oh - the other thing you asked was what to charge.... (show quote)

Thank you for you feedback!

I use Drop Box and my fee is "free" as they are the teams that my grandchildren are on.

I shoot my son's CYO Basketball games and put them on Picasa Web and send them to all of the parents (no charge)...However with the camps, it wouldn't be a bad thing to try and figure out a way to charge those who are willing to pay for their photos.

Are you just randomly taking the images of kids or are the parents asking you to take images of their child? The answer to that makes a huge difference in the approach.

To answer your question...my brother notifies the parents that a photographer will be onsite that day to take pictures. The parents are not asking for their child to be photographed. However once they see the shots there has been some inquiry about paying for the photos by the parents.

We are offering this as an "added" value to the sports clinic...but looking forward as an opportunity to potentially make some money.

I am taking pictures of kids playing sports and would like to know the most efficient way to provide the pictures (whether via email, share from the cloud or use a service to get the pictures printed and mailed to the parents)? Does anyone do this and what method do you use? What is the basic rate would you charge?

Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks
