Noticed this young lady looking down the street near a vintage shopping area and asked if I could take her picture. This is what I captured.

I ran across this spider web on a walk and took a picture because I thought it had captured a lot of debris blowing in the breeze. Only after viewing it on my computer did I realize the 'debris' was actually a bunch of insects of some sort. Obviously a well built, well placed web!

Thank you Dennis for your ideas. I've never thought about moving in closer with this lens because it just seems like a "show as much as possible" type of lens. I'll play around with it some more and see what happens. Thanks again for the inspiration!

in my drawer and realized I've not used it for quite a while. Honestly probably because I don't know how to best utilize it. This is one shot I captured with it but if you all have some ideas I'd sure appreciate it. It's a Nikon 10mm.

Multi-room home for sale. Open Flame Kitchen, 2 person Bedroom, Living Room, and a decent sized common area in the middle for those really hot nights when sleeping outdoors is needed. Solid wood front gate with beautiful naturally curved gate lock. Roofs replaced prior to last rainy season. Partially constructed bathroom so some repairs are needed but if you were good with play-doh as a kid you're good to go. There's even a 160 year old shade tree in the back yard! No grass so your yard will always look just as good as your neighbors. Perfect for a winter get away. Located in the northern region of Ghana for 300 GHc which is a tad under $100 US.

I was walking between some West African huts and heard giggling. You know how cute it is when when a kid is really tickled? Multiply that times 2. I could hear them laughing but couldn't find them until I looked over a short mud wall. These two were eating something similar to spaghetti and taking turns slurping their noodles. Each slurp made them bust out laughing. They didn't laugh one time while I was watching but as soon as I walked away they started right back up. Slurp - giggle. Slurp - giggle. So adorable.

This young West African boy met me on the street and tapped his fingertips on his chest which generally means that he wanted me to take his picture. I put the camera up to my eye and he started to run towards his hut. I did my best to tell him in that I was sorry if I scared him but then he ran back out and tapped his fingers to his chest again. He ran into his hut and came out with his little sister and an older gentleman. The man said his little sister had never seen what she looks like so her brother was trying to get me to take a picture so she can look at herself on the screen. I took the picture and the little girl touched her image on the screen and grinned. What an awesome big brother she has!

I'm preparing for another trip to Africa to work at an orphanage in rural northern Ghana. Limited if any electricity and crazy hot... but the kindest, most amazing people I've ever met.

I've been told these guys are faster than a horse, at least for a short distance, because of their very short yet incredibly strong legs.

My son says I should have mentioned that these snails were very large. The shells averaged around 2 inches long. Not sure how much escargot that would equate to but I know it's more than I'd want to eat!

I was a safe distance away... until I tripped on a stick and fell. The crocodiles jumped to attention as I hustled to my feet to ran away. Later in the day as I was reviewing pictures I realized that I inadvertently pressed the shutter as I was falling and this is what was captured. Sadly, the focus is off but this accidental image is more interesting than all the other images I took that day.

If you don't mind me asking, which mirror lens do you shoot with and what camera do you use?

Photos #1 and #2 are both so beautiful! They demand attention because of their simplicity and artistic impression. Wall worthy for certain.
