Dave, I can sympathize with you. My Genre has run the gamut from Evidence Photography, to Documentary, Photos for Teaching and Lecturing, Crime Scenes, Amusement Rides, Fire Scenes, Equine Photos, etc. I have never really worked with models or product / Studio Photos.
I had over 35,000 Slides and had to down size as I could no longer catalog all of them. (Before Computers)
I enjoy photography for what interests me as well as will work in my books and Presentations. Have a great day and keep shooting.

Ken, I am interested in your Tamron 10-24 mm Lens. Would you take $300.00 for it, and I will pay the shipping costs.

A number of years back, I had gone to the wedding of a friends son. I had recently picked up a 300mm Zoom lens and thought I would play with it. I went up into the loft at the rear of the Church, from there I was watching the wedding photographer using all kinds of "creative" techniques. He was using a strobe light off camera and was attempting to bounce flash off a 50 foot ceiling . (The priest forbid any flash photography during the wedding.)
I sat up in the loft and rested my camera on the front of the balcony. I shot several rolls of film and bracketed the photos. When I got them back, the quality was outstanding and all photos were very usable.
As luck would have it the wedding photographer had wedding photos which were worse than useless. The parent of the young man called my mom and said, I know Rich was shooting pictures at the wedding, Did any of them turn out? She advised that the wedding photographer had no photos of the ceremony or the bridal party. My mom told her yes all of Rich's pictures were beautiful, and she was sure I would be happy to give her the pictures. (She neglected to say about payment, which I got none) The bridal couple was overwhelmed and thy and other relatives were happy to pay for copies. That one practice session paid for my new lens. Everyone was happy except the photographer who didn't get paid.
