Those are great captures of really neat ducks. I've never seen them before.

Thank you so much! They were a wonderful surprise for me. I actually had to look these guys up to find out what they were!

These were taken at my mothers housing development in one of their "lakes" by the golf course. I was driving by and noticed this pair of new ducks and was so happy to find out they were Black-bellies.
Thank goodness that I was there dressed to work in the yard at moms and had on junk clothes because by the time I got close to these guys (they were in the "marsh" part of the lake) I was wet, muddy and stinky! But I get to mark another bird off my list!
While I was there Joshua, the developments Sandhill Crane, stop by to see what I was doing. I also was able to get a photo of a Florida Mottled (Black) duck.

Great pics, but "darling" I'm not so sure. In the insect world they are voracious killing machines, both as adults and when they are babies (aquatic larva). Beautiful, they are though.

Thank you! In my search for the ID on these little guys I learned that one of their favorite foods is mosquito and their larva. So anything that wants to eat mosquito's is a little darling to me. :-D

Excellent set smoke! Nice bokeh in your work. Beautiful detail and color. I believe your last dragon is an immature Great Blue Skimmer (Libellula vibrans). Good field markings are the white face, black leading edge of the wing, black nodus, and no thoracic stripes. Have a great day!
