Greetings!

I enjoyed posting here about 2 years ago. Life happened and I was called to be a caregiver for my ailing father. I have never been a photographer....I own a camera. A Nikon 3200. I have passion but not much talent.

After the recent passing of my dad, I feel the desire to capture the world again with my trusted Nikon. However, something is wonky.

(I will explain it to the best of my ability. I am a simple country lady and I hope my words can convey what I see.)

When previewing a photo I have taken, the right side of my LED screen is taken over by 4 rectangle boxes. The boxes have what appears to be waves in them. The top has WHITE in it, the 2nd RED, the 3rd, GREEN, and the bottom (4th) is BLUE. Below my photo it says this: WB AUTO 0, 0
Nikon D3200

I know at one time I had the histogram activated because if something was too light, that area would flash black on review. (please forgive me if I am explaining this incorrectly)

At age 50 I took a photography course at our local votech and the teacher set that up. *sigh*-- I took the course twice. I admit it, stuff didn't stick.

I want those rectangle boxes gone. I don't know what good they are, therefore; they are getting in the way of my photo preview.

Any help (read PITY!) someone can give would be greatly appreciated.

Have a wonderful Sunday and thank you in advance.

~ Jacki

[quote=naomicornish]Hello, Ugly Hedgehoggers!

My name is Naomi - 31 years old, from Tavistock, Devon, UK.... and I am an Al..... oh, hang on, wrong site...........

Just kiddin'.... I have a Canon EOS300V film camera.... been on and off with photography over the years..... had a camera in my hand since I was very little.... I owned a Canon 450D-SLR several years back, but due to not using it enough, I sold it on......... always kept the film camera: and now I am back living in Devon after nearly 12 years in Manchester, I am sure I will have more nice views to take pictures of!... etc....

Other hobbies include music, engineering, cars, and making people happy.

Look forward to getting stuck in the forum.

Best wishes,
Naomi

Greeting Everyone,
I've just started into this wonderful world of photography and will make some contributions soon. I'm retired, live in Wisconsin (Go Pack) and have 4 grandkids.

Markiemark.......are the grandkids the Funky Bunch?
8-) I bet their voices are "Music for the People" and they bring many "Good Vibrations" to your home when they visit! :-P

Ohh jeezzeee~ that was corny! And I just totally gave my age away.

I'm a grandma of 3 lively boys and just started my photography journey also.
