Beautiful close ups! Sometimes I try an odd angle to get "inside", or I look for some right after a rain.
That is 'Ol Barney" Barnegat Light,NJ
love to see fluffy clouds against a blue sky.....thanks
I also love lighthouses...here is one of my favorites with the reflection in the water
I can't top yours...they are gorgeous, but I can share a few of mine.
We also found the new high speed ferry to have unfavorable hours, so we flew from NJ to NS and then rented a car. It was a VERY scenic trip with the highlight being the Cabot Trail. Glorious sunset at Peggy's Cove was stunning. We also combined NS with a trip to PEI which was also gorgeous. Enjoy!!!
One of the nicest B&B stops was in Adare...actually our last night, so we chose to be close to the airport at Shannon. It is a village of thatched roof cottages...very picturesque. As for the southern shores, we loved the beach at Inchydony. If you are in Sneem, have the lamb stew at The Blue Bull Inn. But, after 25 yrs, these places may no longer be the same. That's why we want to go back. I do know that The Cliffs of Mohr now have fencing along the edge...not so years ago...ruins the view, but I guess it was necessary. Goo dluck with your planning!
We were in Ireland the last week in August that went into September. Awesome weather, but it does rain often...never down pours, but what the Irish call a "soft" day. But, with the rain, you will get rainbows....like the double one we had on the Loop Head peninsula.... Shannon River on one side, Atlantic, and a lovely lighthouse. Awesome cliffs and breath taking views. We did B&B's the entire time.....very welcoming people. One even did our laundry for us! Our trip was the southern and western coast areas for the most part, which does include the Dingle peninsula. When we go back we will rent a cottage rather than do the B&B's as the country is so small and one can cover a relatively large area in a day. It would be nice to come 'Home' to the same bed every night!
We honeymooned in Ireland, but 25 years ago. The photo ops are incredible! As for luggage, we traveled "light" and brought all stuff we wanted to "give away" as we went along. Came home with souvenirs, memories and lots of pictures. Save the editing for when you get back, so leave the computer home.
Great bridge picture. My husband and I make a hobby of finding bridges all over the country to walk across. We shall put that one on our list to find and walk across.
Wonderful action shots.....something I need to work on with my Canon settings.
monochrome does it justice...nice shot
Thanks! I appreciate the info. I never thought of the toxicity possibility. Some times it is challenging to stay put long enough to get good butterfly shots. This year I have yet to see a monarch and I know their numbers are diminishing, but I keep looking.
I have several pictures of a similar black butterfly, or maybe it is the same species. Right now the swallow tails are all over the Joe Pye weed in the back yard. Here is one from the other day. Wish the monarchs would come back!

I have been using snapfish for several years now and I love it. You can send photos one at a time, or a whole album. Their printing specials are fantastic, also, if you like to make prints of your work.
