However, seems to be missing the true HDR effect.

Do what you want with it. I was using some Hdr effects then tried some other tweaks while messing with it and got this image.

I used snapseed app to achieve an hdr image then photoshop express for an effect. I don't have an expensive LR program to achieve true HDR. Is this not a true HDR then? Anyway I thought the effect was cool on the car.

I dont have photoshop or light room for photo editing as of yet. So I use what I have available on my tablet, which is Photoshop Express and a very good app in Snapseed. When I do macros I am still getting a lot of grain as I crop in on pics and try to bring out the detail as much as possible. Working with what I have, I would appreciate any tips that would help me get a clearer looking macros with less grain.

I attached the original picture to show where I got my image from. This is a real snowflake. Several people have asked if it is real or not. No two are alike and truely are God's creation. Thanks again for all the advice.

Thanks Jan. I'm spending some time in Western NY and they get much more snow than Virginia. So I had to try a snowflake shot. A good change from flowers.

Loved your pic, and gave it my HDR spin. I been there once when I lived in NC, and miss it very much. Hope to retire in NC.

I had a great time this summer shooting my son' s swim meets and posting them for parents to see. First year our team had a photographer and everyone enjoyed them. While messing around with some of the good shots, I came up with a really neat HDR pic and started a portfolio of all the greatest shots. I sold approx 20 pictures and donated a portion back to the team for letting me do this. I volunteered to shoot because thats how the team runs so I got my hours in while doing what I like to do. Win win in my book. But I had to charge for the enlargements of my Hdr pics. What do you think? Anybody doing different things like this? Looking for ideas for next season.

The first night at our beach house and there was a spectacular sunset emerging. I was real tired from the drive and thought for a second that there will be 6 more of these. But I kicked my own but to the shore line across the street and snapped a few. Glad I did, because this was the most vibrant set we had all week. Dont ever procrastinate. Just go get the shot.
